This WIP is giving me chuckles. I hope when it is published you will enjoy it as much as I have writing it. Of course it is not all light. I do deal with sensitive subjects but I will infuse it with some comedic and touching moments that help us to forget our worries and the troubles of the characters somewhat.
Have I got your attention yet? Is your curiosity piqued? I hope so. Well, you will just have to wait until later this year. I will do my best to get it out as soon as I can. My beta readers don’t even know about this one yet unless they read this post.
I needed to get away from the my current fantasy series of six books, Gateskin Chronicles. I never knew it was going to be so exhausting coming up with myriad characters, plots and creatures to keep the stories flowing. Phew! I will get back to it soon after I complete this first book in the newest series of lighter books.
I will not share the cover (which has yet to be created by John) or the title of the book and series of this new WIP. You will just have to be kept in the dark and wondering what in the world it is!
My mind works in strange and mysterious ways when it comes up with stories to write. Of course, it all depends upon the muses that invade my senses. They won’t leave me alone for a minute. If I am not writing a post or answering emails and promoting by books they are in my head and calling out to me to write their stories. Sigh! I’m doing my best to keep up with the onslaught of their voices. That doesn’t sound too good, does it? Sounds like I am losing my mind. Well, sometimes I feel like I am with so many stories bouncing around in there.
These stories have to be written down or they may disappear in a blink of an eye. You know what I mean, don’t you? Well, it’s like a dream. When you dream you may not always remember what you dream. Sometimes the dreams are in the back of your mind nagging at you but not becoming clear. This is what happens if I ignore these stories. They will go to the back of my mind and drive me to distraction if I don’t pay attention to them and write them down. I have lost some of them in the past this way. But sometimes, for some unexplainable reason, they come back in a different form and make themselves known to me. They almost scold me for not paying attention to them the first time. Then an amazing thing happens. A drawer that was stuck back in my brain opens and sends more stories forth that I may have neglected to collect them in time before.
Are you ready for something different to read? I am always trying to find a new kind of book to write in different genres to please all reading preferences. I hope this new series will please you or at least intrigue you.
Well, it’s back to the laptop. My fingers are itching to continue the stories. Wish me luck! I need your support to be a successful author. Please review books you read for authors everywhere who are struggling to exist in this world of millions of books! I appreciate your efforts! Hugs!

Eyes and ears open wide here!
Haha! I’m enjoying it. Maybe I’ll be the only one! 😘
How mysterious! Enjoy. I can relate about writing a series and needing a break!
It has taken a lot out of me Marje. But I vie to get back to it after I complete a couple other books. Sigh!
Yes, know the feeling Janice. My favourite things to write are short! Poetry and flash fiction!
Yes, it can be exhausting! I love short fiction too! 🤗
Yes, definitely. x
