JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS (by John Spina)

Do your children love dragons? I do, but I am just a kid at heart! I think most children are fascinated by dragons. We see dragons on the TV in films and on the big screen as cartoons and in full-length adventures. It would be fantastic to see these dragons on the big screen one day in a cartoon for all kids to enjoy! I would be beyond happy!

I had published 12 children’s books when I began creating stories about dragons in my head. I felt quite excited about sharing them with you and your children. They are fun, fascinating and fictional. If you haven’t checked out this series, please go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble today and see them for yourselves. All covers and illustrations were created by my husband, John. He had a good time creating them according to my words and magically brought each character to life. I was thrilled to actually see my creations in the flesh.

Each dragon is a different color which enables children to learn and remember colors in a fun way. The names of the dragons all begin with the letter ’D’ which is an interactive way for children to remember the letter and memorize the dragons’ names. This exercise is great for stimulating their brains and creativity. I had to learn and memorize each one too.

Each dragon does a good deed and illustrates to children how important it is to be kind, caring and helpful to others in need or smaller than yourself. Even though dragons have been shown on screen to be fearsome creatures, I created seven dragons that are not that way at all. Even the one dragon who is mean in the beginning learns a valuable life lesson about being kind through the other dragons. There is nothing to frighten young children in these books. In fact, they will be delighted and excited to read and learn more about Drystan and his friends. Happy reading everyone!

When you read these books ask your children what they learned about the particular dragon, what color he/she is and what is his/her name. You will be surprised how quick they will come up with the answers if they really paid attention. If they can’t remember, then read and re-read the story again. It will become one of their favorite bedtime stories. It will also help with their memories and reading skills as they learn repetitive words in rhyme. Rhyming helps children remember in a fun way. That is why I write this way.

Here is Book 1 – Drystan the Dragon and Friends Series: Drystan and Durward Save the Day.

Blurb:

This is a magical series about Drystan the dragon and his friends. These dragons are colorful, engaging and fun to read about. They teach children the importance of friendship, caring for one another, being kind to others, and it’s okay to be different. All dragons are of different colors and their names begin with the letter ‘D’ – a fun way for young children to learn the letter ‘D’ and colors.
In Book 1 Drystan makes a new friend, Durward, who invites him to visit the Land of the Rainbows. While they are there they have an adventure. Find out what the dragons do to save the day.

Here are some reviews from Amazon:

Mrs.D.5.0 out of 5 stars The Land of Rainbows Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020

Two dragon friends, Drystan (a red dragon) and his friend Durward (a blue dragon), and one big adventure in the beautiful Land of Rainbows! These two colorful characters will capture a child’s imagination and teach them something really neat: the true meaning of friendship. I hope that the imaginative illustrations and the fun storyline will awaken the desire of kids to help others.

Through the strong narratives, the Spinas convey a great message of kindness, caring, and loving the person next to you. It is a great reminder to the world—improve your act every chance you get, because it always pays to be kind and sensitive instead of mean and cruel.

Another wonderful book by the talented team of Janice and John Spina, which teaches the lesson of humanity and understanding. It’s one that young children must learn at a very early age

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you will enjoy these books as much as I enjoyed writing them. Please come back again real soon. You are always welcome.

Jemsbooks are not only available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble but also by clicking on the covers to the right of this post. Introduce your children to this new series and watch their reactions as they giggle, sigh and avidly request that you read the stories again and again! I would love to hear what you think about my books and hear about the reaction of your little ones. This is music to my ears to hear that young children love my books. Thank you.
