WINNER OF SILVER MEDAL –  MOM’S CHOICE AWARDS 10/29/20

Louey is an adorable but lazy elephant who likes to sleep late. One day Louey wakes up to find that the whole herd has moved on without him. Louey is very upset but he is determined to find his herd. Does Louey find his way to his family and friends? Does he learn that it doesn’t pay to be lazy? Take Louey home with you and find out.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember. But I did not officially become a published author until 2013 with my first children’s book, Louey the Lazy Elephant. Louey is still my favorite book. He is so sweet and innocent and loses his way. Children love him. He is one of my best sellers along with another book, Jerry the Crabby Crayfish, which is my second favorite book.

PINNACLE BOOK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNER!

Jerry is a crabby crayfish who all day long wishes he could be a fish. One day something happens in the fish tank that makes Jerry change his mind. Read about the valuable lesson Jerry learns.

Jerry was quite a character and really lived in a fish tank in our home. He had a distinctive personality and knew how to ask for food and warn you away from his home. My grandchildren loved Jerry and couldn’t wait to see him each time they visited. When Jerry passed it was difficult to tell them. We miss him still and wish we could have another crayfish like him but there are known available for sale. We did have a small red one but he was not at all like Jerry. He had no personality. Sigh!

All my children’s books are illustrated by my husband, John. Who also created the beautiful covers! Having him to work with me has been a blessing. I wouldn’t have been able to do all this without him. He brought my stories to life! I hope you and your children will enjoy them!

Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and welbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
