Good to be home again from our vacation in Aruba! EBook Giveaway!

It’s nice to go away but even nicer to come back home after a three-week vacation! We have a very comfortable home with all the amenities. So, I ask myself – why do we ever go away? Ha!

I guess the answer is we want to see something different, feel the warmth of the sun, the calming effects of the ocean, catch up with yearly vacationer friends there and taste and enjoy the delicious seafood indigenous to the area. I miss it already. Sigh!

We will look forward to going again next year without (hopefully) the hassle of COVID testing and wearing of masks. Fingers crossed! This put a damper on things down there. But we managed to get together with friends, enjoy dining and relaxing and doing plenty of reading. I read 10 books in three weeks!

We all need a change of pace in our lives. If we don’t get a chance to do or see something different we can get depressed. We did not travel at all in 2020 but I kept so busy, writing, publishing 8 books, reading nearly 100 and sewing, crocheting and doing jobs around the house. If I never traveled again I would find different things to do just the same and save a lot of money in the process. Ha!

I know as I get older I may not travel as much as once did when I was young. But it’s nice to have the memories of all the trips we did take and also the pictures. My mind may forget all those memories so the photos will help. I am thankful that I still have my health and mind and pray that they stay with me for many more years!

Since I’ve been home, even with a nasty cold, I have managed to blog several times, sewed some sports wine cozies for gifts and did a lot of promoting of my books. I never have a minute that I do not have something to do or catch up on with my books. It can be exhausting at times.

Of course, Christmas is right around the corner and I have been busy making gifts, autographing a dozen or more books to give away and will be wrapping them soon. How are you doing with your shopping?
