What do I do after publishing four books in 2021? Taking some time off! New Projects!

I published four books this year which is what I set as my goal for 2021. I still haven’t met my goal of reading 90 books though. I am only at 49 books so I have a way to go yet. I don’t know if I will make it though. Publishing four books kept me quite busy this year.

I took some time off from crocheting and sewing to complete the books. I have gotten back to sewing the past couple of days and completed 6 wine cozies with Bruins cloth. The next sewing project will be a couple of face masks with the same material, a couple of pillows with Bruins flannel material, and more wine cozies in Bruins felt material. There are a lot of Bruins fans in my family that will be happy to receive these.

There will be extra wine cosies to give away if anyone is interested in having one. I hope to have a free drawing for my readers and reviewers who are interested soon. I will let you know when they are completed. I may give away two wine cosies in felt with appliqués of Bruins insignia.

The last book I wrote, The Legend of the Taken Ones (Gateskin Chronicles, Book 1), took a lot out of me. It was an epic book with 500 pages in paperback and 275 in Kindle. I hope you will enjoy it and stay tuned for Book 2 – 6 in the coming years.

It’s a good idea to have more than one hobby to fall back on when one is finished with a new book. I can’t wait to get back to crocheting. Once the weather gets cooler I will pull out my Afghan hooks and get to work. I have plans to create more blanket afghans that everyone in the family will have once I am finished. (Hopefully!) Sigh!

I can’t believe the year is flying by. Soon it will be time for me to set my goals for 2022! I will be smarter next year and not extend myself so much with the difficult goals that I set for myself in 2021. I am getting up in years and can’t work as fast or care to for next year. I need to relax and enjoy life more with my husband. My head is always into another WIP and I don’t come up for air very often.

The first week of September you may not hear from me much online. I plan to do a few posts to post ahead but that is all. I plan to take some much needed time off from everything. Of course, I will be back with a vengeance once again after a week of rest, relaxation and being offline for awhile. Sigh! I can’t stay away from writing for too long. Haha!

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Please come back again real soon. Thank you also for all your kind support with my books, blog and for the reviews you have posted wherever my books are sold. Please keep those reviews coming and I will keep writing.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

You deserve a break after the busy year you have had. Enjoy!!

  2. Victoria Zigler says:

You could always listen to audiobooks while you do the craft projects. That way maybe you’ll still make your reading goal, but also be able to complete all those projects on your to-do list.

  3. Congrats on publishing 4 books this year! 🙂
