Lazy, Hot Days of spring not quite summer yet! Summertime Reading!

We have had a stretch of extremely hot days lately and it’s still spring. What’s it going to be like in summer? I will be cranking up the AC all summer long and staying indoors if this is any indication of what to expect. Is this Global Warming?

I don’t do well in extreme heat unless I can sit in a pool every so often and cool off. When we go to Aruba it is in the 80’s – 90’s every day. Evenings cool down a little to low 80’s and upper 70’s. Of course we sit under palapas and jump into the water (80’s temps) every so often to cool off. It is heavenly. Aruba is a desert and dry. Home in New Hampshire it is more hot and humid when it gets like this. There is no pool to jump into. I wouldn’t dare go into the pond. It’s full of snakes, bullfrogs and whatever else is lurking there. Yuck!

Here is a photo (2019) of an overcast day but no rain in Aruba. I took this from our room at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Resort. We didn’t go last year so I have no photos from 2020 to share because of COVID-19. Sigh!

Palm Beach in Aruba

This weather at home now is perfect for blogging in AC, writing in my WIP, reading or crocheting and whatever else I find to do. What do you do when it gets hot and humid where you live? That’s if it does at all. Please share.

I promise to share all my photos from our trip in the fall to Aruba. Maybe by then we will be mask free and things will be almost back to normal. Here in New England it is feeling close to normal once again. We are getting there.

Now if you have some time on your hands this summer, or it’s too hot to venture out, I have some great books to share with you. I have 35 books and counting on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Also, I share my fellow authors’ books each month on my Monthly Reads. So, there is plenty for you to choose from and to start reading today. No more excuses – get reading and get healthier in mind and body.
