Getting Out and About More – Fully Vaccinated and Feeling Safer!

The latest news about masks here in the USA is – if we are fully vaccinated and two weeks beyond our last vaccination we are safe to go out and about without our masks. Of course we still have to wear masks going to stores, shopping and in crowds for everyone’s safety. But I’m feeling relieved and free. How about you? I hope wherever you live that you are vaccinated and feeling safe.

We recently went out to dinner with good friends and had a lovely time. It felt good to get out but we still had to wear masks to and from the restaurant but you can see things relaxing a bit. People are feeling safer and more liberated.

We went to our favorite restaurant – Piccolo Italia. The food here is fantastic and the people are so friendly and accommodating. We feel like we are with family.

Seafood Insalatamarinated shrimp, calamari, mussels, scallops with green olives, red peppers and chopped lettuce – out of this world delicious!
Amelia – waitress at Piccolo Italia with our wine
Chicken Lorena – fabulous – chicken stuffed with spinach, Swiss cheese and lobster with mushrooms, freeze dried tomatoes in wine sauce over homemade linquine
Chicken parmesan
Amelia making Caesar salad for another table – I had to snap this photo of Amelia – she was working so hard to make this salad. She even gave us a little dish with a taste because she liked us so much!

It was a lovely evening spent with good friends having delicious food and excellent wine at a wonderful restaurant!

We look forward to going back for our wedding anniversary soon and attending a show at the Palace Theatre (our first since 2019). We’ve really missed going there. It’s a wonderful venue in a beautiful theatre. I will share photos of the theatre and our celebratory dinner soon.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. I appreciate your kind support of me and my books and all the reviews that I receive. Please keep them coming! I hope you will keep coming back for more entertaining reading and events about new works, daily news, birds, fish and other things that pop into my already overcrowded head.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

It is so good to get out. Your meals look fabulous. We are still mandated to wear masks but at least we can go to restaurants again. We went out on Sunday so hubby could have his roast beef dinner and I had delicious seafood pasta, overlooking the Mediterranean. It was so lovely. Just had my second vaccination and hubby will have his on June 2. So things are looking up. Still being careful though.

I agree, Darlene. We still wear masks to and from restaurants and in stores. But it’s liberating to get out and about again! 💕Great news you will both be fully protected soon!

  2. Hi Janice, I am glad you and hubby are able to get out a bit now. The vaccination programme here is very slow to get going because the Oxford, AstraZeneca vaccine doesn’t work on our variant.

So sorry to hear that about the vaccine. I pray that you will get some Pfizer or Modernna vaccines as we did here in the USA. I know we have been sending some to other countries in need. Take care. Prayers you way that all will speed up a bit so you can get out and about too soon. 🥰
