There’s a Feeling of spring in the Air!

Happy spring!!

Our weather here in New England is finally getting warming! I love it! The snow is just about gone. There’s just a little in our backyard.

The pond in the back or our house is still looking bleak and dry but soon it will green up. The peepers are already peeping and getting louder by the day! If you leave a window open they make a racket at night. They have a goal to achieve and to make more noise is what they do well to achieve it. Ha!

Our back deck is almost ready for cookouts and fun get togethers if they are possible this summer. Fingers crossed! Of course, my husband will move the furniture around many, many more times before the winter sets in again. He plays musical furniture. I never know where I will find the stove.

Springtime is an awakening of nature – the trees begin to send out their spores and prepare for budding, the tulips poke through the soil and push up their stems to prepare for their flowers, and the grass begins to send messages to their roots that it is time to green up with the sunshine and warmer temperatures. Let’s get busy, nature! There’s much to do to put on your beautiful display for Easter!

I’m ready for good weather, aren’t you? We have all had a horrendous 2020 with the Pandemic and all its restrictions. Everything was put to a halt – especially fun times with our family and friends. I miss that the most! I miss getting and giving hugs and kisses to my children and grandchildren! There will be a lot of that after we are all vaccinated and safe.

I don’t have any flowers yet to share but here are my indoor plants that are flowering. I do plan to share more as they begin to show off in all their splendor.

African Violet pink
Flowering Christmas Cactus (flowers 3-4 times a year)

I hope that you and your family are doing well and staying safe. I pray that you will all get your vaccines soon to make you even safer. I have had the first one and going for the second soon. It is a liberating feeling getting vaccinated. We are on the home stretch now and soon we will be able to resume some of our activities with others.

What do you miss the most since the Pandemic began?

I miss being close to my family and friends, having cookouts, eating together inside, going to restaurants, movies and shows and family functions.

I pray that this spring will bring good things to us all. Take care, be safe and well and get vaccinated so we can get back to living again! All good things come to pass. Stay strong and positive every day. God Bless!

My next post about spring will feature buds and flowers and more. Stay tuned!

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Despite the current cool temps, we are well into spring here. The flowers and trees have their own innate schedule. I knew spring was on the way when the tree frogs started to sing!
