JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS is bringing you today – DRYSTAN THE DRAGON FRIENDS SERIES BOOK 2: DAMARA HELPS DRYSTAN FIND HIS ROAR! HAPPY READING!
Blurb:
This the second book in the magical series about Drystan the dragon and his friends. These dragons are colorful, engaging and fun to read about. They teach children the importance of friendship, caring for one another, being kind to others, and it’s okay to be different. All dragons are of different colors and their names begin with the letter ‘D’ – a fun way for young children to learn the letter ‘D’ and colors. In Book 2 a new dragon is introduced – Damara, a different dragon who does things her own way. As she is traveling by one day she spies a dragon, Drystan, in distress. She flies down to see what is wrong. It appears that Drystan has lost his roar. What caused Drystan to lose his roar? Can Damara help him get it back? Read this book in rhyme for a comical story that will delight your children. Watch for more books in this mystical series.
After you read this book to your children, ask them these questions:
- Why did Drystan lose his roar?
- What did Damara do to help him?
- What is different about these two dragons?
- What letter of the alphabet is the same in all the dragons’ names?
You will be surprised at how intuitive children are and how closely they listen to a story being read to them. By asking them questions about what you read to them you are sparking their imagination, increasing their vocabulary, enabling them to be more creative and at the same time, sharing some important family time together. This reading time will bring you closer together as a family. It is a perfect time to snuggle and cuddle close. I always loved this time with my young children. I would watch their faces as they listened to a story. You could see how their minds were working out what they were hearing. It was a wonderful experience. Enjoy your children and read to them daily. They grow up so fast! Happy Reading Everyone! Join children everywhere and hop on board the JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS today!
I feel pure joy writing for children and hope with God’s help and blessing to continue to write many more fun adventures for children to read and enjoy. I do enjoy writing for MG/PT/YA and 18+ too!

I wrote this series for all children who love dragons. Even though I am not a child anymore (only at heart) I have always loved dragons. They are fascinating mythical (or not?) creatures. In each book I introduce a new dragon with different colors and names that all begin with the letter ‘D’. This series is a fun way for children to learn colors and letters. Of course, I always incorporate important life lessons too. My dragons are respectful, kind, caring, and help others in need. If they are not they learn to be that way by example of their fellow dragons. This is the way children learn these traits by example of the adults around them. If you want your children to learn good values, read these books to them daily. They will love them and so will you. Happy Reading!
Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and welbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!

Hi! How are you? Long time, no contact. My fault, of course. Just a question? Do you use an editor for your children’s books? It has become a specialty of mine. I love children’s books! I’m just a big kid! Just finished one for a professor in Boston, MA, U.S.A. Dragons? OH, YES!!!!
No, my husband and I do them ourselves. I’m well. How are you?
You guys do a good job! Always nice to have that “second pair of eyes” in the family! lol
Thank you, Deb. Yes, rut is! 💕
