Jemsbooks Express – Bringing you Books for Children PS-Grade 3 – Jerry The Crabby Crayfish! IT’S READING TIME!

JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS is coming into your homes to feature books for your children PS-Grade 3 in this segment! Chuga chuga choo choo!

My husband, John, created this train for JEMSBOOKS! I love it! Don’t you? Woo Woo! Get on the JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS for some fun adventures in reading!

Keep your children entertained with JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS today. Children need to have something to look forward to in this upside down world right now. Having a story time with fun books is a great way to keep them busy and happy.

After your children read Jerry or you read it to them, if they are younger, ask them about what they read.

  1. Why do you think Jerry wanted to be a fish?
  2. Why did Jerry decide at the end of the book that he was happy not to be a fish after all?

You will be surprised at what children will say about books they have read. They are more intelligent thinkers than you would imagine even when they are quite young. It’s fun to read books together to watch the expressions on children’s faces. They feel for the characters and become actively engaged in the story. Have fun reading to your children daily. Happy reading!

Jemsbooks Express is bringing you Jerry the Crabby Crayfish today. This is Jemsbooks most popular book! It also won a PINNACLE BOOK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD!

Jerry was written in 2014, my third publication. He was a real crayfish in a 35 gallon freshwater tank. He truly was a brilliant blue color like on the cover. He was an entertaining character that my grandchildren named and loved. They missed him when he passed. Jerry was the first one that they would run to see when they came over to visit. I hated to tell them that he had left this world for fish Heaven. We had him for several years and enjoyed his antics. We’ve never been able to find another one like him. We did have a small red one that didn’t live as long. He was nothing like Jerry.

I wrote Jerry to immortalize him for my grandchildren. Many of my children’s books are about animals I have had and want to share them with my young readers. Other books are ones about animals that I love or feel are entertaining for young minds. All my books carry important life lessons that teach children good values. Below I listed all the life lessons for each of my books for you parents to make note of when you are looking for books that your children will not only enjoy but also learn good things at the same time.

Here are some reviews of Jerry from Amazon:

Wynette Mills5.0 out of 5 stars Jerry The Crabby Crayfish is a delight! Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2014Verified PurchaseChildren will be very curious about this little blue creature. Aquariums and fish captivate little minds to ask “why” and “how”. It teaches us that we are all very special in our own way and by helping one another we learn much about ourselves. It also teaches children about the time and care it requires to have a pet as well as some science fun facts about Jerry molting. The illustrations will keep the children looking for more. I will look for more stories from this talented Author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another GemReviewed in the United States on March 24, 2014This is the second book I have read by the author and I loved it. The repetition in the story and the message it reinforces should have children repeating “Swish, swish, swish, I wish I were a fish” all day long. Once again the illustrations by John Spina are a delight for the visual senses and the deceptively simply imagery is colorful and beautiful. Janice weaves another unique and interesting tale with a subtle environmental message about not interfering with what nature does best on her own. I also love the way she finishes each book with “The End” showing the behind (as in bottom) of each central character, which I think will have children giggling with delight. These books are best read out loud, with children turning the pages and listening, but older children will be able to read on their own without too much trouble. As an educational note: Janice introduces some exact names of some types of fish, never assuming that children would not be ready to learn them, which I think demonstrates her dedication to teaching and instructing children, as much as engaging them with the sweet little stories. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading Lamby the Lonely Lamb

Amazon Customer5.0 out of 5 stars I am 40 years old and I love it! The illustrations are wonderful and the story …Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2016I adore this book! I am 40 years old and I love it! The illustrations are wonderful and the story of the crabby crayfish always wanting to be a fish but in the end learning that he is special NOT being one is a wonderful lesson for children to learn. Although they may always hope to be something else, better, or perhaps more….they are special in their own way. 🙂
