Lucy the Talented Toy Terrier – My 20th Publication – March 2018!

I will be featuring a different book in each of these posts until I have featured all 33 of my books. In this post the spotlight is on

Lucy the Talented Toy Terrier – published in March 2018

Lucy was my dog for 16 years ago. She had to be put down due to cancer that had metastasized to her kidneys. The poor little one was in great discomfort. When I put her down it broke my heart and my children’s. She was a wonderful pet, so sweet, sensitive to my emotions, loving and dedicated to me. She followed me everywhere. If I left her for just a moment she would kick up a ruckus. I miss her still!

This book was written in her memory. She did everything that I wrote about in the story. She was quite an entertainer and such a good companion. I tear up when I think about her even though it has been many, many years since she passed. Sigh!

Children will learn important life lessons in all my books. Lucy will teach children to be kind and caring of animals. Our pets are our life force. They keep us going in tough times for they are always there for us. They welcome us home even if we just stepped out of the room for a second. God gave them to us to heal our souls, open our hearts and teach us to love. Please be kind to all animals and treasure your pets for they are a gift to us from above.

Blurb:

This book is based on my dog, Lucy, who I had for 16 years. She was quite a character and did all the things that are in this book.

She loved my spaghetti with homemade sauce, watched TV shows featuring animals, hated baths, “sang” when music was played, and had two cherished possessions, a knotted rag and a ball.

I hope you will enjoy reading about Lucy. She is no longer with us and can never be replaced.

Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and wellbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!

Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

I feel pure joy writing for children and hope with God’s help and blessing to continue to write many more fun adventures for children to read and enjoy. I do enjoy writing for MG/PT/YA and 18+ too!
