This series was written for my two middle grandsons who love to read about mysteries. This is a series of adventures for MG/PT/YA boys but girls like it too!

If you are looking for the perfect gift for your MG/PT/YA for Christmas or Birthday Davey & Derek Junior Detectives books are the ones to buy! If your middle-graders, preteens or young adults haven’t read this series now is the time to begin the adventure along with Davey and Derek. Each book can stand alone. I don’t believe in leaving kids hanging. I tell a complete story and go on to the next book with another complete story. Of course, many of the books carry along some of the information about the characters in the next book and so on. I always believe in beginning at the beginning with book 1 to get a feel for the characters. Then move on to book 2, 3, 4, 5 and finally 6.

Of all the books in this series this one was the most intense to write. There were so many characters, things happening and side stories about the magical elephant that I had to keep taking notes. I don’t usually take too many notes because I write as a pantser (by the seat of my pants), or in other words, I let the story evolve as the characters take over and tell their story. It is an exciting way to write but can be hard to keep track of where the characters are leading me. Each book’s ending was a surprise to me. I feel as if I am reading it for the first time like everyone else. I hope you will enjoy it too!

Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series is a fun and magical series with spells, wands, a black cat, good witches, time travel, ghost hunting and more. There are also life lessons that include being kind, caring and respectful toward others, listening to parents, being helpful and doing chores, and bullying is never tolerated or accepted.
