How Are you Doing during this Pandemic?

I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected during this continuing struggle with this Pandemic – COVID-19. Things haven’t gotten back to the old normal but are now trying out a new normal.

The safest place right now for me is home. I only go out to shop for groceries with my mask of course. I continuing use antibacterial liquid to keep clean my hands after touching everything in the supermarket. I cleaned off everything when I get home too.

I did go out to a restaurant that had outdoor seating and it was lovely. It was a perfect day with our closest friends who we have been associating with all during the Pandemic so we know we are all well and safe. But we only stay outdoors with each other. The seating in this restaurant situated on a golf course was safe with tables distanced 8-10 feet apart. That made me feel good. We had to go through their restaurant first with our masks on and were escorted out to their deck overlooking a beautiful golf course. Once seated we could take off our masks when we ate and drank.

Leaving it was the same way – masks on, walk through restaurant, and out front door to our car. It was a lovely time with good food and friends. It was nice to get out since it had been since early March that we had gone out to eat. We do order in once a week from a variety of local restaurants to help them stay open.

Takeout eat in – Chinese food

Recently in New Hampshire the Governor has opened up all restaurants for inside seating without restrictions. I am a little nervous about going inside just yet. Eventually we will have to go inside because it will be too cold to eat out. Sigh! I’m not in any hurry to do that just yet. We cook good meals at home and I am happy feeling safe and healthy.

What are you doing? Are you going out to dinner yet? Movies? Live shows?

I miss going to my favorite venue – The Palace Theater in Manchester, New Hampshire. They have produced wonderful shows. I hope by next year I will feel save enough to go back to this lovely theater.

This is what you will see when you go to look up movies:

I do miss the old normal where we could go anywhere we wanted for dinner, shows, movies and travel. This year we cancelled two trips because of safety concerns. Sigh!

I hope and pray that next year (2021) will be a safer and healthier year for all of us. In the meantime, stay safe, well and be careful about where you go. God Bless you all!

Like you, we are going out to eat but only on patios. Fortunately, in Spain you can eat outside almost all year round. We also cancelled three trips this year and friends who were coming to visit had to cancel as well. A bit lonely but we are managing. Stay safe my dear.

  2. I’m glad you guys are staying safe, and doing OK.

If you really want to know how I’m doing, the answer is I don’t know. Between the virus stuff and some things I’m dealing with in general (check out my post for this past Friday if you want details) I’m not sure how I’m doing. I’m physically fine though, if that helps any.
