New Review of Abby & Holly Series Book 4!

I am thrilled to receive this new review of my newest book in the Abby & Holly Series. It’s always exciting to receive a review! It feels like Christmas!

Mystery “Fran”5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from J.E Spina!Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2020Format: Kindle EditionThe Hidden Stairway, the next book in the Abby & Holly series, is another winner. When they discover an old trunk in a previous book, cousins Abby and Holly travel back in time to get some answers about the trunk’s contents. Mystery, suspense, and adventure abound, amid the overarching themes of kindness and caring that are the hallmarks of J.E. Spina’s books. I loved it, and I know young readers will too.

Blurb:

Join the cousins, Abby and Holly, as they search for clues about who placed an urn up in their attic with the remains of a young girl who lived a century ago. Their old Victorian holds many secrets and the girls are determined to solve this mystery with the help of two ghost friends, Felicity and Minerva, who inhabit their home.

As the girls are searching for clues in their basement they discover a hidden stairway. Upon entering the stairway they find themselves unexpectedly catapulted back in time to a century ago. Will they be able to return with the answers to the mystery? If not, who will help them get back? Or, will they be forever lost in time.

This series has been a joy to write. It makes me feel like a kid again! The story is told through the eyes of the two cousins who are as close as sisters. There is a mystery, ghosts, haunted house and fun adventures in time travel that will keep readers turning pages to find out what happens next. This is an award-winning series for Middle-graders/Preteens/Young Adults. Parents love it too because of all the life lessons that are incorporated in the story such as be kind and caring toward others, respect parents and others, and family and friends matter.

Once I have a title I can whip through the story with the characters guiding the way. Sometimes I don’t know how the story will end. It is a surprise to me. I am a pantser, meaning I write by the seat of my pants. As my fingers fly over the keyboard it’s as if I am a reader and not the author. I sometimes don’t know where the characters are going to take me. It can be quite unnerving at times but freeing and exhilarating. That’s what makes writing so much fun. Please join me in Abby’s and Holly’s adventures for a thrill of your life or your children’s! Thank you!

Please check out all the books in this award-winning series for some fun adventures for your MG/PT/YA. They will love them and so will you. Watch for Book 5 coming this year and Book 6 in 2021.
