Well, here it is a new year – 2020. I plan to make this another productive year for Jemsbooks. There are two books in the works – Book 1 of a dragon series being illustrated by my husband, John, and I am working on Book 4 of Abby & Holly Series.

Here is a little more info on both series.

The dragon series will have six books in all. Each book will be about a different dragon all done in rhyme with colorful illustrations and life lessons that will teach children the importance of being kind to others, help others in need, value friendship, and it’s okay to be different.

I hope to have Book 1 ready for publication in January.

As for Book 4 of Abby & Holly Series – this mystery/paranormal series is geared to MG/PT/YA and touches on anti-bullying, kindness to others, family and friends are important.

On the back burner are Books 2-6 in the dragon series which will be published over the next year or two. It takes a lot longer to illustrate than it does to write these stories. My husband has the more difficult job, reason why it takes him so much longer to complete. He has to show me each illustration and I always want to change something. Poor man! I am a tough boss.

I have a fictional historical novel written that I would like to publish over the next two years. It is based on and dedicated to my grandmother who lived more than 100 years. I have embellished the story but did get a lot of my ideas from listening to my grandmother and all her stories. Names have all been changed to protect those they represent.

Over the year in 2020 I also hope to begin Book 5 & 6 of Abby & Holly. Another project that I have been toying with is continuing the Mariah series with more books on the main protagonist and what she is doing now. If you haven’t read either one of these books I don’t want to give anything away. I guess all these projects will be keeping me quite busy and hopefully will fulfill my goal of publishing four books. Of course, I also have this blog which keeps me hopping writing three or more posts a week besides reading and reviewing books on Goodreads (my goal for 2020 is 90 books), and supporting my fellow authors. I will never run out of things to do because I also promote and market my books on social media which is a full-time job.

Well, I better get working on all these projects. I am feeling the pressure already. Phew!
