Merry Christmas – Baking, Baking and more Baking!

Soon it will be Christmas! I have been busy baking my heart out. I’ve made dozens of cookies, chocolate chip, Portuguese Bisquits, and oatmeal raisin.

As I was cracking eggs to begin baking I came across 5 double yolk eggs – one egg with two yolks (fraternal), and the other four with twin yolks out of a dozen. I have never seen this many double yolks in one dozen. I had to snap a photo of a few of them.

The cookies look wonderful. I’ve been baking too, lemon tarts, mincemeat squares, orange chocolate cupcakes and apple squares. The problem is I always sample and now my jeans are a bit tight. Oh dear. Have a great Christmas!!

Sounds wonderful, Darlene! I know what you mean about sampling. I’ve done my own a lot! Sigh! I would love your lemon tarts recipe. I will share my Portuguese Bisquits on my blog. If you would like to share one of yours on my blog too, that would be great! Thanks! 🤗 🎄 🎁 ❤️

They look delicious, especially the Portugese Bisquits. Recipe? I’ve been busy in the kitchen making different kinds of tablet (fudge), Christmas cookies, stuffed dates – didn’t take any photos, though, so must remember next year. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Yum, Janice! I have finished, I think – rum balls, chocolate crinkle cookies, butterscotch gingerbread cookies, peanut butter and chocolate square. Will take pictures when I box them up for friends! Merry Christmas!

I did loads of baking recently too.

  6. That really is interesting, Janice. I have never seen more than one twin or double yolk in a box. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
