Spring Has Sprung!

Well, it’s here! Spring! I thought I’d never see it this year! It has been a cold brrr winter albeit not too much snow. I did miss the fact that we did not have much snow. I love snow as long as I don’t have to drive in it. Also, the mountains need the snow for skiing, even though I don’t ski, and local wells need to be refilled by the runoff from the mountains. Sigh! It is all connected.

Now we must depend upon a good rain from time to time this spring to make up for the lack of snow. Sorry for those who hate rain. I don’t mind it as long as I don’t have to drive in it. Haha!

I can’t wait to see my flowers begin to sprout new leaves and my roses budding along with the trees. It’s a beautiful time of year. Once they begin to show growth I will start sharing my pics.

In the meantime here are some signs of spring from last year that will make you yearn for more.

Rhododendrons
A spring bouquet just for you!
Easter Lily
Flowering Cactus – this Cactus flowers each spring at this time and through Easter and fall around Thanksgiving and into Christmas!

Birds

We have all kinds of birds visiting our bird feeders year round. We just noticed that the Red Wing Blackbirds are back. They are migratory and love swampy areas. We have a pond in the back of our house with cattails and reeds that they love to nestle in all spring and summer long. I will try to capture a photo of them soon.

Here in the Eastern half of USA we are in the first day of spring. If you are having a different season where you live in this beautiful world please share some of your pics. I would love to see them. I will share more as the season progresses, I promise.

For now, enjoy whatever season you are experiencing. Here in New England USA our seasons are swift in the spring and summer but long in the fall and winter. We enjoy every good day that we are fortunate to have in each season.

Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back again. I will have plenty more books, reviews, spring and summer photos and helpful advice for authors to share.

Lovely photos, Janice. the flowers are starting to poke their heads through the mulch here. We’ve had a lot of snow and even more rain in the past year and 2019 is starting off the same. We need to rake out last year’s mulch and lay new if we get some good weather. Happy Spring, my friend. 💕🤗💕
