This is already week 2 in beautiful Aruba! I can’t believe we sailed through one week already! It has been heavenly! Weather has been beautiful 80’s – 90 every day, only one day with a quick shower, water warm and refreshing, windy but good for keeping the bugs away. All in all perfect especially since the rainy season is from September through November.
Here are some gorgeous views of sunsets. I have taken hundreds of these but can’t help snapping more each year. Our first week we had a lovely view of the sunset.
This week we have a great view of the pool, ocean and one end of the island where the lighthouse is situated. The second to the last photo is a view from one of the two balconies we have in this room this week. We were fortunate this year to have this same room for two weeks in a row! Hurray! We usually move to three different rooms. That entails packing and unpacking three times. Yikes!
I promised I would take photos of my food. Here Is one of Chicken Parmesan and linguine. It was delicious! There are plenty of restaurants that have Italian food and other restaurants have a varied menu with all kinds of fish, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, etc. There is something for everyone here!
Marinated seafood – crevice
Lovely friends to dine with who make this an extra special vacation.
My husband has been taking plenty of photos with his camera but I can’t access them to show there here. I will do another post when I return home to share them at that time.
This is the room we will be selling for next year, week #44 room 902 in the tower at the Divi Aruba Phoenix. If you are interested contact me at jjspina(at)myfairpoint(dot)net. Here are some photos of the room and the view. It has 28 or 29 weeks left on it and you can take 9 weeks from the back end of the contract to use. Not every contract has this extra incentive.
It is a one bedroom unit, kitchenette, dining area, 1/2 bath, living room with TV, two chairs, couch that opens up to a bed and there is a balcony. The bedroom is separate from this area with a king-sized bed, TV and has a full bath and a second balcony off the bedroom. It is beautiful!
The reason we are selling this unit is because we obtained two rooms back to back for next year. We need to sell this unit or at least rent it out until we can sell.
Now for the selfies with wild hair and hair pinned back. No one has neat hair! Sigh!
Night time shots of the lobby and friends in the blue lights there.
Night view of the pool from our balcony. It is usually lit up with all colored lights but tonight only white. I will keep checking and snap some of the colored lights. It’s beautiful!
Here they are!
Well, that’s all for today. I am trying to watch the Patriots at the same time as I write this. GO PATS!
Also Congratulatiosn to the BOSTON RED SOX! It is a pretty big deal here with one of our players from Aruba, Xander Bogartz. They even had a parade because he was coming home. I didn’t see it, too busy hanging out on the beach and soaking in the warm water. Sigh!
Thank you for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support!

Looks like a wonderful holiday, Janice. You look lovely.
Yes, it is, Roberta! So relaxing! I could get used to this kind of life. Ahh! 🏝
Excellent view of the sunset and ocean. The temperature is good, not too hot. I remember seeing the wind blowing like your previous post showing the palm trees. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Will see more of your photos when you come back.
Thank you, Miriam. Yes, it definitely is windy here. Hair just doesn’t look nice for long. Sigh! I will definitely feature more photos when I get back. Hugs
Please do, Janice. I think that was one reason I didn’t take too many photos. I had long hair and didn’t like the hair covering my face. xox
That looks lovely, thanks for sharing. The only Aruba I have been to is the Aruba Bar on Bournemouth Pier, though that is very pleasant on a sunny day!
Thank you, Tidalscribe. It is lovely here and so warm. Ahh! 🏝
Glad you’re having such a great time.
Thank you, Tori. It’s wonderful! I’m soaking up all the sunshine and warm water while I can. Hugs
What fun! The photos are great. It’s rainy, cold and dreary here. Lovely seeing all that sunshine 🙂
Thanks, Mae! Sorry to hear the weather is not good where you are. I will be heading home into colder temps soon enough. I will enjoy this sunshine as much as I can. 🏝 🌴 🌞
Thank you for giving me a mini-vacation! My husband is bound and determined to head south for a week this winter! Spectacular photos!
Thanks, Noelle! I hope you do head south this winter. Hugs xx
You look so relaxed Janice. I love your photos and your hair, lol. The place looks heavenly. I know what you mean about moving. We’ll spend 2 months in Mexico come January. It’s so busy there we were lucky to get units in the condo on the beach, we just have to move in February to a different unit, lol. 🙂 Enjoy!!! ❤ xxx
thank you, Debby. Perfect tine to go to get away from the cold and snow! It will be fabulous! Hugs xx ❤️
No doubts! ❤ xx
