Summer heat and glorious flowers!

This summer is supplying heat and lots of humidity but along with that come the flowers in all their glory.

Here are some of the flowers in our yard. With a few rainstorms in between they have managed to stay healthy and vibrant.

My husband and I went to a lovely spot tonight after a fun movie (Mama Mia – Here We Go Again) and dinner out. I had to snap a few photos of this pond behind one of the many apple orchards in our town. It was serene and eerily quiet and conducive to contemplation. Maybe the backdrop for a new novel or book cover. Hmm! Always thinking about the next book. (All photos here are copyrighted.)

This would be a perfect place to curl up with a good book! Ahh! Maybe bring the bug spray though!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my flowers as much as I do. Their time here is too fleeting. I enjoy them as much as I can and snap tons of photos to share with you.

Thank you for stopping by. Come back again soon, my friends!

The flowers are so colorful and beautiful. And that scenic spot is gorgeous.
I’m hoping to see the new Mama Mia. I loved the last one!

  3. Yes, it’s impossible not to think ahead to the next book, isn’t it?

    How was the movie?

I like flowers, and am glad they’re enjoying the weather. I could do with a little less heat myself though… It’s not been as bad here as in some parts of the world, but I don’t deal with heat well.

Lovely flowers 🙂 We’ve had a lot of sun and heat in Scotland (yes, really!) this year but tonight feels like a storm is coming. The garden certainly needs rain – just so long as it remembers to stop. Was the Mama Mia film good? As good as the first one? I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Yes, loved it! I think it was as much fun as the first. Love the music! The girl who played the main role was fabulous. Even Cher was in it! I love her! 💕😘🤗

Oh, good. Glad to hear that as so often a follow up isn’t as good. I read that Cher was in it. I love her, too. It sounds fabulous. Can’t wait to see it.

Enjoy and have fun! I saw Cher with Sonny back in the late 60’s. She is still gorgeous with a little help. 💕😘🤗

I have been going all during this torment just to try to forget the pain. But was taking ibruprofen 2-3 times a day. I am now off of it and still having some discomfort but nothing life before. Two more weeks and I will be done with it. I hope!! Hugs xx

      • dgkaye says:

My goodness Janice, that was a long bout. I’m sending you some healing hugs. ❤ xxx

Thank you, Debby! I have two more weeks to go and I’m home free! Sigh! I keep on chugging along. Have a book expo tomorrow from 10 am -10 pm. I’m going later maybe 1 or 2, too much for me. Still don’t have my energy level up yet. John can’t handle that long either. Most of the authors are much younger than we are. Should have done this 40 years ago. Hugs xx ❤️😜🤪

Lol, famous words from so many of us – we should have started a decade or 2 ago LOL 🙂 ❤
