Summer is Coming!

SUMMER IS COMING!

As I take my daily walks, well almost every day, I notice more and more flowers are reaching out to the sun and blooming and showing off their myriad colors of the rainbow.

I feel myself coming alive with the warmth of the sun and the clear fresh air of a coming summer. Breath deeply and enjoy – cough, cough, ah choo,  er, make sure you take your allergy meds first.

I was thrilled to discover the first rose of spring – almost summer – in the circle in front of our house. Check out this gorgeous flower!

Behind it are dianthus blooming happily.

Below are the rhododendron in our front yard and dahliahs showing off their lovely pink petals.

It may be a while before I can share the fabulous flowers of our 15 rose of Sharon bushes. They are in white and lavender. Some bushes have both colors on them. Once in full bloom they are an unforgettable sight to see.

Above is our New Guinea impatience looking happy hanging out on the back deck.

Here are two new adorable members of our family – Australian Labradoodles that my daughter and her family and my son and his family adopted. These dogs are brother and sister too. They had a splendid time together playing in our front yard and visiting over the weekend. Rugs and floors were properly christened which were thoroughly cleaned the next day by my hard-working husband.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you are having lovely weather wherever you live. We have been blessed with some nice weather today, not so nice over the Memorial Day weekend however, Sigh!
