Signs that spring is finally here!

SIGNS THAT SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!

The weather here in New England, USA is still a little cool – 50’s. This is a vast improvement over a week ago when we had snow and 30 degree temps.

My husband and I went for our usual walk – 2-3 miles around the neighborhood. I snapped photos of buds in evidence on trees and plants that are sprouting.

The grass is greening up.

All feels right with the world.

Spring gives you promise of good things to come.

The birds are chattering as they eat at the feeders.

They know that the weather is getting warmer.

Their minds are on gathering sticks and twigs to make a nest.

Here are some bird feeders that my husband has hung for them. They have many to choose from in our yard. Some appear to be in use already.

Our arborvitae bushes above show signs of deer tampering. The poor deer had a tough time this winter finding food. I guess they liked the taste of our bushes which are looking a little slimmer this spring. I can’t fault the poor animals. They were starving. I think the bushes will fill in eventually.

All photos are property of Jemsbooks.com.

Sure signs of spring – my husband cleans the front deck, he put out our spring flag and the American flag. Ahh! Spring is here today to stay, hopefully!

Inside the house my plants are celebrating spring by blooming and sprouting new leaves – Ivy, Christmas Cactus and hibiscus.
