Happy Halloween and Vacation in Aruba!

Scarecrow 2

This is a busy time of the year for me. This month has been especially busy. We have a family wedding this weekend, a book signing next weekend, a family member is moving any day now, and a trip to prepare for in two weeks.

I am rushing around to get my social online commitments up-to-date and my husband is getting the yard and house in order for the upcoming winter months. It is the time of year that we travel to our favorite island – Aruba. We always go around 🎃 👻 Halloween. We don’t get to see our grandchildren dressed up as ghosts, goblins or other creatures but they always send us a photo which we can add to our Halloween album.

Aruba does it up big for Halloween with cobwebs everywhere, carved pumpkins glowing with candles, islanders dressed up as ghosts, pirates, skeletons, and every creature imaginable. Going out to a restaurant is an event with all this going on. They do it for the tourists because we love it. I will take pictures and send them along in a blog closer to Halloween.

While we are in Aruba I plan to get caught up on some reading – my TBR list is crying out for help! I also will be doing a blog or two and sharing some of the island’s beauty with you. In between walking on the beautiful beach, swimming, and lounging under a palapa, I will do my best to work on my sequel to Hunting Mariah 📖.

When we return it will almost be time for Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be upon us 🌲. This vacation is a wonderful time to get recharged before the holidays. I will have plenty to do to prepare for our families’ celebrations once we return. I may need another vacation afterward. Phew!

I will schedule some blogs ahead of time and will do my best to do one while in Aruba in which I will share some gorgeous sunsets and beach scenes. There will not be any of me on the beach, thank goodness! Maybe some shots at night at restaurants of my delicious entrees.

I can’t believe the year is flying by. I think back over what I have accomplished and how much more I want to do. I will have two more books published this year for a total of four plus the new edition of Hunting Mariah. I will share my new year’s goals with you right after Christmas.

Watch for a Goodreads Giveaway coming on November 20 and ending December 20, 2017 in time for Christmas. I will announce which book I will be giving away in a blog on November 15, 2017.

Thank you for stopping by. I will do my best to check in on my social media and post on my blog from time to time. Please forgive me if I don’t get to read and respond to everyone’s blogs while I am gone. Some of you post more than once a day. I just can’t keep up with your energy. Sigh!

I know I am a little ahead of myself in this wish but I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween or whatever you will be celebrating this month.
