Limerick

Colby the Courageous Cat

There once was a cat named Colby,

Who was the largest cat of the family.

He took care of his siblings

In spite of their quibbling.

Now he is the favored cat of his family.

Colby 2

Colby is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Create Space.

Blurb:

Colby is one of a litter of four kittens. The kittens get into all kinds of trouble. Being the biggest and strongest, Colby’s mother expects him to watch over the smaller kittens and keep them safe. Read and find out what Colby does to meet his mother’s expectations.

Jemsbooks’ children’s books are written in rhyme with life lessons that promote good values and behavior in children. Colby teaches children that family is important and that you should love and care for your siblings.

Colby was my daughter’s cat for nine years. He was quite the adventurous soul, staying outside to hunt and only coming home to receive a warm meal and pat on his head.

Young children and their families are sure to enjoy award-winning author Janice Spina’s latest book, Colby the Courageous Cat. This time, Colby sets out on several adventures with his kitten siblings. In their travels, they encounter several different dangers. What happens when Colby notices bees buzzing around? What does Colby do when he and his family sees a big truck? You’ll see why Colby is very brave indeed. As always, the colorful illustrations by Janice’s husband, John, add to the fun of the story. Congratulations, Janice and John, on another great story.
