Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Welcome to my home for Christmas! I thought it would be fun to share my decorations with you. For the past few years we haven’t put up a tree. It has become quite difficult to carry the 10 foot tree up the stairs from the basement so we decided to give it away. In fact, we once put up two trees. It took two or three days to set them up. It was sad at first not to have them but we have since filled the area where the large tree went with other decorations. Funny, but the family never even noticed we didn’t have the trees! Imagine that! Above are my Christmas Carole’s and Salvation Army figures and a tree made by my mother many years ago. It is precious to me.

Here are some more decorations.

Here is our little tree that replaced the large one. Cute but a lot smaller and simple to put up.

Our mantel with all my music boxes. I love music boxes!

Big Santa and a musical Santa that reads The Night Before Christmas.

Teddy Bear and another musical Santa that plays the piano with Christmas tunes.

This Santa lights up and plays music and so does the one below. The little ones love these!

Wreaths on all the doors adds to the spirit.

This one is musical and goes on with motion which seems like all the time! My mother gave me this years ago and I treasure it.

Snowmen are aplenty.

Christmas is almost upon us! Hope you all have completed your shopping and are hunkering down and waiting for Santa. Santa (my husband) comes to our house with presents for the little ones on Christmas Eve. There is a little something for the grownups too. It’s a merry time with plenty of food and drink for all.

Hope you enjoyed visiting my home for the holidays! May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy & Happy New Year!

Remember: Reading Gives You Wings to Fly! Soar this Christmas with Jemsbooks and make someone happy with the gift of a book! Http://

Blessings & hugs & love to all!

  3. Love that you have shared! My sister does ALL the family, household decorating here. She spends hours and hours pulling it all together. Each year, I suggest that she might just want to do things a little less time consuming and she looks at me as though I had shot her dreams in the foot… ❤ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

  4. My goodness, Janice. What fabulous Christmas decorations. Our home is festooned as well at the moment. Love the idea of family get-togethers and good will. But, as I wander the stores and shops listening to those interminable Christmas songs I will wear my Bah Humbug hat until Christmas Ev. Haha.Jx

      • Actually now have to sit in bed with it on, Janice – not allowed out with a cold bordering on flu, bordering on pneumonia. Oh no… that’s husband sitting snuffling besides me. Haha!

Thanks for the beautiful Christmas tour of your home Janice. There’s certainly a festive feeling going on there. And I know what you mean about the big tree. I got rid of my massive one 2 years ago and quite happy with the 4 ft. one I put up on a stand now, much easier. 🙂 Merry Christmas to you. ❤
