Enjoying Summer Yet?

One of my favorite flowers – Roses!

I wanted to to take a few moments to stop and smell the roses that are blooming in my yard and share them and other flowers with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I have been so busy working on my newest book, Davey & Derek Junior Detectives, Book 2 – The Case of the Mysterious Black Cat that I haven’t had time to enjoy all the beauty around that summer has to offer. I have also neglected my online promotions and social media, for all that I apologize. Once I complete book 2 I will have a little time to get back to promoting and media stuff before I begin editing another novel. It isn’t easy being a writer with all the stories going around in my head. I don’t want to ignore them for they may disappear for good. Thanks for bearing with me and waiting for me to get back to blogging.

Summer goes by so quickly with all the parties, cookouts and celebrations that it feels like a whirlwind. I have been fortunate to have my favorite meal a few times this summer – lobster and clams, a good old New England Clambake, as you can see from this dish!  Yum!

In between I am trying to enjoy the beautiful weather before it disappears all too soon.  I hope you are having a fun summer too. Don’t forget to spend time reading yourself and to your children!

Remember: Reading Gives You Wings to Fly!

I will let you know when book 2 is out. It is a middle grade book with lots of surprises, magic and mystery that will keep your children enthralled! I am having a wonderful time writing it and look forward to writing more books in this series. But in the meantime check out Book 1, Davey & Derek Junior Detectives – The Case of the Missing Cell Phone on Amazon BN.com and Create Space to get into the characters. Book 1 has received five 5-star reviews on Amazon.

All Jemsbooks carry life lessons and help to reinforce good behavior in children of all ages. This series will be doing just that too by showing kindness between siblings, polite behavior with others and discouraging bullying of others.

Thank you you so much for stopping by. It is always a pleasure to see you!

Blessings!
