Is spring really here?
I look out my window and sigh.
Spring, why aren’t you here, oh why?

Though the snow is now gone
The white stuff I do not morn.

But everything is still brown.
Nothing green can be seen around.
No sign of green shoots coming up.
I dream of flowers as I sip coffee from my cup.

But wait I look more closely at the trees.
Are those buds I see?

The birds are chirping and singing their songs.
They are happy and so should I be.

Birds
I smile and think, there really is nothing wrong.
Rainy days have arrived with skies unclear.
Flowers need this rain to grow in my garden so near.
But alas, winter is now over and spring is finally here.

My deck is ready and beckoning to me.
Warmer weather is coming soon, don’t you agree?
I am thankful and filled with love
for all that is given from God above.
Thank you for stopping by.
Blessings of spring to all!

Thank you, Mihrank! Nice to see you stopping by. 🙂
I’m not patient either. I see the grass struggling to green up and we’ve had rain but not like other drenching kind we usually expect in April. Lovely pictures and fabulous poem. 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Tess! I know I am impatient too. It has been a long, long winter! Lol! Hugs! My friend!

In northern Indoana we had a little sleet and snow flurries today. Boo 😞

The weather here in Spain has been decidedly ‘iffy’ this spring, but I think summer has finally arrived; it has been sunny and warm for the last week.
Happy to hear you are having good weather in Spain. Thanks for stopping by, Kathy. Weather is still very cool here but hoping by next week it may warm up a few degrees. Hugs!
We’ve had fabulous weather in Glasgow this week and I’ve been too busy to enjoy it. I hope the sun joins you soon 😊

A beautiful poem with lovely serene pictures I could almost hear the little birds chirping. 🙂
