I wanted to share this happy surprise for Jesse.
My newest children’s book, Jesse the Precocious Polar Bear, was dedicated to an adorable little boy named Jesse. Yes, the book was named after him.
I sent out the book to Jesse and have kept in touch with his mother. She wrote me today to say that they received the book and that Jesse was very excited and thrilled with it. He even brought the book to school to share for Show and Tell. Jesse’s mother was gracious enough to let me share this picture with you of Jesse with his book. He has a beautiful smile and an infectious personality.
That is the reason why I write – to see children happy and delighted to read my books.
Have fun, Jesse, reading Jesse the Precocious Polar Bear! It was a sincere pleasure to write this book for you. My illustrator/husband had fun illustrating it too. Thank you, Jesse, for sharing your beautiful smile. You made my day!
Each time we create a children’s book we put all of ourselves into the project. The characters become alive once they are illustrated and I love this part of the process. I know what each character should look like and with my husband’s talent he creates the images. He has an idea what he needs to do for each book which shows his creativity to adjust to subjects with ease. I am extremely fortunate to have him as my illustrator.
Remember: READING GIVES YOU WINGS TO FLY!
Thought for the day: Share a smile each day – it is contagious!
