I wanted to take the time from the hustle and bustle of getting ready for Christmas to share one of my Christmas poems with you.

Christmas Is…..

A joyous time of year.
A time to be close to family and friends.
A time to express your love for those who are dear.
A time for giving to those in need, this should never end.

A time to cook up a special dinner,
and bake cookies, cakes and pies.
You will surely have a winner,
and with each bite you will hear a collection of happy sighs.

A time to see the essence of Christmas in your children’s eyes
when they open up their presents on Christmas Eve.
You can delight in their joyous surprise.
How can you not in Santa truly believe?

It’s a time to be thankful for all God has given us,
and pray that we will be fortunate to see
our children understanding the meaning of Christmas so true,
and to be in America, the land of freedom and opportunity too.

A time to open our arms and soften our hearts
to all peoples all over the world.
A time to show our compassion and make all a joyous part
of the true spirit of Christmas, may our love make goodness and peace unfurl?

Christmas is the hope that we may all treat every day as if it were Christmas Day.
Doing for and giving to others
and treating each other like sisters and brothers.

Christmas is a joyous time of year.
A time to be close to family and friends.
A time to express your love for those who are dear.
A time for giving to those in need….this should never end!

A very Merry Christmas and Blessed and Healthy New Year to all!
