Looking for a clairvoyant/romance/mystery/suspense?

JemsBooks has the perfect book for you with plenty of mystery/suspense/romance/clairvoyant activity to keep you engaged and turning pages – In A Second!

As many of my stories, this was also seen in a dream and kept coming to me until I wrote it down and created this book.

Athena feels as if she is going out of her mind. She can’t function after losing her fiancé, Justin, in a car accident, or did she? She keeps having dreams or rather nightmares of being trapped in a car with Justin’s lifeless body. But when she wakes up in the hospital no one will tell her what happened to Justin. She begins to think that he is a figment of her imagination until she calls his number and he answers. They make a date but then, he doesn’t show up.

There are many secrets that Athena’s parents are keeping from her. Can she deal with all the secrets that threaten her whole being? Her only salvation is her Gramma Grace who knows the truth and has the power of clairvoyance to help her.

Athena finally meets someone who could possibly give her a chance at love again but can Lucas give her what she needs or is he asking too much of her? When her psychiatrist, Dr. Nick Jasper, shows an interest in her too she feels overwhelmed and confused. Will Athena be able to choose between Dr. Jasper and Lucas? Will she ever forget Justin?

An Angel Among Us – A Short Story Collection!

Now I have two short story collections for you to enjoy. An Angel Among Us is the first collection I wrote for 18+. There are fifteen stories in this book for you to enjoy.

I always have one or two of my stories that I love more than others. In this book my favorites are the first and the last stories. The first one is dedicated to a dear friend I had in high school that I connected with after many years. She is no longer with us having died in January of 2017 from breast cancer. She was a wonderful person, kind, caring, unselfish, witty, and intelligent. She is surely in Heaven now.

The second story I love is the Christmas story of love, hope and family. It is grip your heart and hold on tight as you reach for the tissues. I enjoy writing tearjerker stories. Don’t we all need a good cry once in a while?

FIVE-STAR REVIEW BY READERS’ FAVORITE BOOK AWARDS!

A collection of short stories that covers several genres including romance, grief/loss, mystery, suspense, sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal. This book is dedicated to a courageous friend who passed this year. The first story is specially created for her and is the inspiration for the title of this book.

If you would like to know more about my favorite stories in this book, pick up your copy today and read the stories that will keep you engaged and intrigued. I assure you that you will enjoy them and want to read them again and again. They are perfect when you want to read something that it quick and entertaining without being tied up with a long book. They are also perfect for a quick read at night before bedtime. But be careful, once you begin the book you won’t be able to put it down.

This book is in three formats now like all of my novels for 18+ – paperback, eBook and audiobook. More ways to enjoy these unforgettable stories.

How Far is Heaven – a tearjerker of a novel!

Do you love stories that make you cry, tear your heart out, and sigh as you take a deep breath?

Well, now is the time to pick up this tearjerker of a novel, How Far is Heaven. It is a romance/paranormal/suspense/mystery that will grip you from the first page to the last. You will need a box of tissues at hand. I had one near me when I wrote this. Sigh!

Priscilla and Parker Wilfork are college sweethearts happily married with two children, Deanna and Robbie, and life seemed perfect and peaceful living in upper state Maine. One day Parker goes on a business trip to California and does not return. Priscilla searches for how and why her husband disappeared to no avail. Deanna cannot accept the fact that her father is gone. She asks questions daily about her father’s return and becomes despondent.

Priscilla tries to get her life back to normal for her children after two years and decides to tell them that their father has gone to Heaven in an attempt to put an end to the questions from Deanna that she cannot answer. Priscilla finds herself doubting whether he is still alive when she begins to have dreams where Parker appears to her as an angel.

Just when things seemed to be better and the children were accepting that their father would not return, Deanna disappears. Now Priscilla must once again search for answers to why another member of her family has disappeared before it is too late for Deanna. She fears that her husband’s disappearance could somehow be connected to Deanna’s.

Priscilla turns to a local police Sargeant, Blake Furelli, for assistance in finding her daughter and solving the mystery of Parker’s disappearance. But it seems there is more to their friendship than meets the eye. Sargeant Furelli, too, has suffered a loss and feels drawn to the ethereal beauty of Priscilla Wilfork.

This is more than a paranormal romance, it is also a mystery, suspenseful and heartwrenching story of love, loss and finding peace and happiness in one’s life again. You will not be able to put it down until you find out what happened. This story will stay with you a long time and make you hold your children closer to you.

This was a tough one to write because I have a daughter and son and always worried about them coming to harm. This story came to me in a dream as most of the my stories and grew from there. Once the idea was planted in my head, I could not escape it until I wrote it down.

I hope you will grab your copy today and delve into this mystery with your box of tissues handy.

Looking for a series that will hook you from the first page?

Look no further than JemsBooks. I have a two-book thriller/suspense/crime/mystery series that will hook you from the first page – HUNTING MARIAH and MARIAH’S REVENGE!

AUTHORSDB FIRST LINES CONTEST WINNER!

MAINCREST MEDIA AWARDS WINNER!

An insane killer, obsessed with blood and death, seeks revenge with those he perceives wronged him. He is now on the loose. His next victim may be Mariah.Mariah has lost her memory. Will she remember what has transpired in her past? Can Mariah escape this deadly killer’s grasp? Will she finally be safe? Will the killer be apprehended?

AUTHORSDB FIRST LINES CONTEST WINNER!

This book begins where the first book, Hunting Mariah, left off. This suspense/thriller/crime novel will keep you turning pages as the tension grows. There will be twists and turns and some surprises. Many of the same characters will be in play to give support and encouragement to Mariah along the way.A new man comes into Mariah’s life that reminds her of someone she wants to forget. He threatens to bring back the horrors that she and her family once endured. While the one she wants to forget suffers from a horrendous attack that puts his life in jeopardy.Mariah must draw on her strength and resilience to survive danger at every turn. How much more can Mariah endure? How far will Mariah go to protect her family?

WARNING: YOU MAY NOT GET ANY SLEEP, FORGET TO MAKE DINNER AND DO THE HOUSEWORK! I guarantee that you will be hooked and won’t be able to put it down.

When I wrote it, I didn’t get much sleep either because the serial killer was in my mind and keeping me awake until I told his story. It was a scary thing.

What inspired me to write this book was an issue with a rape on a local college campus. My daughter was going to college soon and I was wracked with worry because of this. Of course, my daughter was find after much discussions about staying alert, walking with others and never be out after dark. Sigh!

I had only planned to do one book because the rapist was so frightening in my dreams. But one of my readers asked for a sequel to know what happened next. Of course, I always try to please my readers, but did not look forward to doing the sequel and reliving the nightmares I had with the killer. but, alas, four years later I did the sequel and will never do another one again with him.

I have had some thought about doing a four-book series using Mariah as the main character, but I’m not sure about this. The killer may invade my mind again and request to be in the series again. Sigh!

Well, if you haven’t read this series, I highly recommend that you check it out today. You will not be disappointed, I promise you.

Here are what other readers are saying about this series.

Here are my book trailers to entice you further.

Family and Friends Matter!

My newest children’s book was published this year, Family and Friends: Tales for Children. This book has six stories for children in rhyme with life lessons and important family values. It’s never too early for your children to learn that family and friends matter! Teach them early and often and they will remember always.

MOM’S CHOICE AWARDS SILVER MEDAL WINNER!

This is a children’s book with six stories for ages 5-8. Each story is a stand-alone story. Children will read about two little sisters, two young boys, a boy and a toad, rabbits, a bluebird, and a mouse and a piece of cheese.

They are feel-good stories that children will want to read again and again. One story will make children laugh out loud whiles others will teach them important life lessons about kindness to others, friends and family matter, believe in yourself, and you can do anything if you just try.

I dedicated the first story in this book to two little girls I met at a local restaurant in 2024. They were so adorable and caught my eye. I asked them if they liked to read and they responded a soundly, YES! I promised them that I would write a story just for them. I don’t have any way of connecting with them to share this book, but did give them my card and bookmark so they could check to see if and when I did publish it. I haven’t heard from them yet. I hope they discover the book and get to read it.

If you want your children to learn important life lessons and learn that family and friends matter, please check out this book today. I think parents will enjoy it too as they read it to their children. Recommended by momschoiceawards.com

We lost our Hippo Tang – Dori!

Sad to say, but I must tell you that we lost our Hippo Tang – Dori. She had not been swimming much over the past two days. She appeared to be struggling to breathe. I don’t know what happened. That is the difficult thing about fish. They can’t tell you what is wrong so you can help them.

She laid down inside the rocks in the tank when she was knew she was going to die. Unfortunately, for John, he had a more difficult time removing her when she eventually stopped breathing.

I have photos of our Clown fish who, surprisingly, guarded against any other fish from going near her as she struggled to breathe her last breaths. I didn’t expect him to do that. He usually protects his anemone that way but it was clear that he was protecting the Tang.

All the other fish were interested in seeing what the Tang was doing. Clown would have no part of that. Here are some pics I took with him in action protecting her until the end.

Top photo is Tang hiding out behind the rocks. Clown is staying right above her to protect her in the other photos from the other fish who are being too curious. Clown would keep looking at her to see how she was doing and turn away to fed off the other fish.

If you never had fish as pets, then you do not know how each fish has its own personality. Some of them are shy while others are more outgoing, friendly and curious. There are others who are aggressive and exhibit an ornery and fearless streak. This type of fish will actually attack anyone who puts their fingers into the tank. There are still others that are poisonous and dangerous to the feeder.

We once had a Lionfish which is quite unusual and exotic-looking but also poisonous with wings that spread out from its body. It is fascinating to watch as it floats around the tank. It only lasted one day before it died. It did not sting John, thank goodness. We never purchased another one though.

We have had two Trigger fish that are beautiful in blue and yellow and other colors. Triggers have teeth and can bite you. Luckily, John was never bitten. He used to push it away with metal tongs when he had to feed the fish to keep it away from his hand. It soon learned not to go near him if he had the tongs in his hand.

One of my favorite fish is a Puffer or Boxfish. They are so sweet, gentle and friendly. Our new Puffer greets us when we go near the tank. It likes to get close to you and look you right in the eyes. I have even talked to it. It stayed there as if it could hear me and understand what I was saying.

All the other fish in the tank are doing well for now. We only hope that they will continue to be healthy for a long time.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. Please come back again. There is always something brewing at JemsBooks.

We need angels in our world!

I think we all need an angel in our lives. When I wrote The Misunderstood Angel: Branyrd the Angel Series, there was unrest and warring factions around the world.

It felt good to write something with a character who can solve the problems of the world, give hope, and spread love to all who are in need.

We all need some love, peace, hope in our lives and having someone watching over us. Branyrd does that in each of these books. You will feel her love and she will give you hope in your lives that you are not alone.

PROMO BY BMGN

This is not a children’s book. Branyrd is a different kind of angel. She has a difficult time being understood because of her habit of getting into all kinds of trouble and for her unacceptable language. Angels are not supposed to swear.

This angel must earn levels to be accepted by the LORD. She is presently at Angel Fourth Class and must ascend to Angel First Class in order to be given a mission to travel to Earth to help a human in trouble.

Once she reaches Angel First Class, she is given a mission and travels to Earth to help a battered woman and her child. Since she is so new to the ways on Earth, Branyrd is accompanied by her Guardian Angel Benedicto, Angel First Class on High, who guides and advises her.

Branyrd doesn’t know what she will do or how she will complete this mission. She must show her strengths and succeed, or she may be demoted. What she finds on Earth is not what she expected. It certainly is nothing like Heaven. There are dangerous people but also those who she will miss dearly when she must leave.

If you haven’t read this series, now is the time to read it and feel good about our world. We have had too many negative things happening. We need to think positively and spread kindness to all. We are here together on this Earth and should be able to get along and love one another. Life is too short not to be this way. Let’s not waste the time we have in a negative way. Branyrd will teach you this.

Here are what others are saying about Branyrd:

An old interview with AllAuthor.com!

I recently came across this interview I had several years ago with AllAuthor.com. They are such a wonderful promotional site to work with and so helpful. They make promoting fun to do and not just a chore.

Here is my interview. I feel the same way as I did then about everything they asked me. Now I have more books and almost finished with my fantasy series – two books to go. Also, I have other ideas sitting on the backboard waiting for my attention. I wish I could clone myself with all the things I can write about.

If you haven’t seen this interview, I hope you will check it out. If you have already seen it, please forgive me for posting it here.

My favorite season is here – fall!

It is sad to see summer leave but there is always a return of warm weather in Indian summer. During early fall we often have some warm weather return. I look forward to that but I do love the fall! Autumn is my favorite season of all!

Fall brings to mind pumpkins, colorful leaves as the trees burst out in all their glory, apple pie and stews and chili and other casseroles.

Now it is time to pull out all my fall decorations to share with you.

I hope all my decorations put you in the spirit of this lovely season. Whatever season you are in now, may it be filled with all good things.
