Cold and snow – When will it go?

We have had a cold, snowy winter so far and another month and a half to go. I will be ready for the warmer weather ahead. I’m sure the poor animals will be too. They are surely struggling to stay warm with full bellies.

Back deck with feeders

We do our part to assist the birds with our feeders. The deer and other animals are doing what they instinctively know to stay alive.

Our arborvitae are getting thinner from all the deer nibbling on them. We expect this every year when the snow is so deep and covers all the bushes that they usually nibble.

As I get older my aches and pains are worse because of the cold but they will decrease as the temperatures climb. I look forward to the spring and summer.

Even we complain about the cold we wouldn’t live anywhere else because we love the changing seasons. It is something to look forward to each year.

Wherever you live I pray you are safe, warm, happy and healthy. That is all that matters in life. May God bless you all!

Thank you so much for stopping by. It is always a pleasure to see you again and meet new readers. Please come back again! There is always something brewing at JemsBooks!

  1. Just looking at these photos makes me cold. Stay warm!

Thank you! We are doing our best, Jan. It will begin to melt soon, I hope. But it will take awhile. We fear the ice dams are still quite thick and may back up and cause linking inside. 😱

We are above freezing during the day so the snow is slowly melting but it ices up overnight. Every day is gray, gray, gray. I’d almost prefer the snow!
