I have written several stories about animals including some about pets that I have had. These stories are entertaining for your young children and will keep them engaged. Children love baby animals and that is why I wrote all my animal stories about baby animals as you can see by the promo above. Four of the books above were written about pets that I had – Lucy the Talented Toy Terrier, Colby the Courageous Cat, Jerry the Crabby Crayfish, Clarence Henry the Hermit Crab.
One of my favorite books is my first one, Louey the Lazy Elephant.Though I would have loved to have a pet elephant (a baby one, that is). Haha! I think a lamb would have been nice too. I think I would pass on having a raccoon, polar bear, moose, giraffe or a monkey.
I wrote these stories with children in mind. I’m sure they would love to have any one of these animals for pets, if they could, or at least imagine what it would be like to have them. Your children will enjoy reading these stories and become engaged and happy to read the rhymed verse and look at the colorful illustrations created by my husband John.
Books about animals are perfect for children anytime especially this Christmas. I love watching children as they open my books and become glued to the pages and chuckle at the stories. That is why I write so that children will have something to entertain them while they learn valuable life lessons.
I feel pure joy writing for children and hope with God’s help and blessing to continue to write many more fun adventures for children to read and enjoy. I do enjoy writing for MG/PT/YA and 18+ too!
