Aruba – One Happy Island!

Each year we return to Aruba we find new places to eat and shop. Our place, Divi Aruba Phoenix, has been renovating with plenty of updates and improvements. We are happy about that but there is always some glitches that they have to work out. We hope so anyway. I can’t really complain too much because the changes are great and our rooms look beautiful.

The weather had been overcast but no rain making for no good sunsets the first week. Since then the weather has been sunnier and hotter. We were fortunate enough not to be in the hurricane belt when the latest storm was in the Caribbean. We did experience some high waves, winds and parts of the beach were washed away causing a couple of palapas to fall over. No one was injured, thank God. We also lost one of the sidewalks near our resort. All will be repaired in Aruba time.

Here are some more photos for you.

We wait all year to go here and before we know it we are back home again. It is a wonderful place to vacation, relax, unwind and recharge. This is what we need to do. We will need to rest up once we are home again to get back into the swing of things after doing plenty of laundry and getting back to reality. Sigh! In the meantime, we are enjoying the rest of our vacation and soaking up all the sun we can to last us until next year.

We have three weeks here but are seriously thinking about selling our first week and then just going for two weeks which are in the same room which means no moving, packing and unpacking again. Here are some photos of the room we want to sell. It is a studio in the high rise on the eighth floor. This was another room on the tenth floor that we were given since our room was not finished but is the same as our room.

We stay in a villa apartment for the second and third week. I will take photos of that in the next post. It is beautiful and quite roomy – one bedroom, two baths and large living and kitchen area. This is the one we want to return to next year. It has a large covered deck with table, chairs and two lounge chairs. It has a great view of the smaller pool on the property and also the ocean. We love it!

We have been eating plenty of seafood, fish – grouper, red snapper, and plenty of other tasty dishes. I may have to go on a diet when I get home. We don’t eat desserts unless they are part of the meals. I do partake of the gelato once or twice. So delicious!

Well, I guess I have go on long enough. Got to get some sleep so I can get up early – 6:30 each morning to get the most of our days. I will be happy to sleep later when I get home! Haha!

Thank you for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. Please come back again soon. There is always something brewing at JemsBooks!
