Easter projects completed!

I have been working on Easter projects for my grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. I crocheted these items for them and will include some candy as an added treat.

The four bags will be filled with some goodies for the older children while the amigurumis will be for the young ones, some can’t have candy yet while the others can. I completed these in record time. Now onto the next project.

What Easter projects are you working on? I hope the kids will like their gifts. I love to see the surprise and joy on their faces when I give them these things. Each year I try to give them something that I think they would like. I do similar projects at Christmas time for all my family and John’s.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. Please feel free to come back again anytime.

I love the little bunnies! I have a friend who crochets small dolls and animals for children in different parts of the world. Noelle

Thank you! I have made a whole zoo of animals in the past for my grandchildren and all kinds of other creatures. I will share all the photos of them one day. Some were quite large and difficult to do. I was even crazier then about doing this stuff! 🤪

  2. These are wonderful gifts, Janice.

  3. I have HUGE heart smiles here!

Very well done, Janice. The kids will love them with the candy. I wasn’t much in crochet, i did more paintings in oil and pencil drawings, stuffed animals, like parrots, and cross stitching.

That sounds like a lot of crafts, Gigi! Thank you for the compliments. I like making things for others. I enjoy the look on their faces. That gives me great joy! 🥰

You are welcome. Yes, like you, i like to do things with my hands. It always was a time, where i have done these different things and taught myself, then the book writing, but that is over now as well, now is Puzzles. Enjoy whatever you are doing.

Never give up. Go with the flow, they say, and do whatever you feel comfortable and enjoy doing. Of course as we get older we don’t feel comfortable doing some of things we used to do because we don’t have as much energy to do them. I know about that. I used to do even more than I am doing now. Sigh! But I keep plugging along. 🥰

I started to write, because, after the first treatment of the cancer, 30 years ago, i was at home and Albert was full time working. so, what should i do? All these crafts i did before, even the cross stitching’s, I couldn’t do anymore. Arthritis in my hands or my eyes. so, I started writing. It fulfilled my days, and I loved it. Putting my thoughts onto paper. but now, since Albert is retired and the cancer came back, nearly the same time, I had to recover first, taking the Chemo tablets. three years later i had that bad fall, fracturing my pelvis 3 times and a few rips as well. Recovering from that, we are doing now many things together, and i have no time to write. The enjoyment for it is gone as well. If i would start writing again, it would be only to write, it wouldn’t come from my heart, as the other books were.
And now, where the cancer is gone, I am free. and we like to travel more. Or whatever we are doing. Well, age sneaked on us. we are getting slower.
That is my story now, after the cancer back and the fall. Now we like to enjoy our life.
You know what I like doing now? Playing puzzles.
        Love Gigi
