Crocheting in between books!

I crochet every night making pillows, afghans and whatever else I can think of in between writing my stories. As in the past I have shared the items that I have created on my blog.

My latest creations are some hats that I made using Brianna K Creations from Etsy. She is quite creative and always has something new to try. Here are the seven hats I made using Brianna’s patterns. The afghan behind the hats I made from my own pattern last year with a blanket yarn. It kept us warm all winter! Everyone in the family has received one along with a pillow or two to match. I made them quite happy, I think especially with the cold winter we had.

I plan to give away the hats to a Goodwill or other group. They may not use them until next winter at this time.

With Easter around the corner, I always give all the kids in the family something for Easter, usually candy. This year I am making an Amigurumi for each one of them up to a certain age. My oldest grandsons are 27, 20 and 18. I don’t think they will like one. Haha!

Here are some of the ones I will be making. Hope they come out as good as these.

I think these amigurumi are adorable. I have made many in the past and they are fun to make but can be tedious since they are so small. You have to keep your stitches small and tight to make them look good. I will do my best. I will be adding some candy to each amigurumi in case they don’t like the little critter and prefer candy. Haha!

In late summer or early fall I will begin to make some small afghans for the young ones. Last year they received a pillow. I will make the afghans to match their pillows. I like to keep busy and can’t seem to sit still at night with nothing good on TV. During the day I prefer to work on my stories and leave nighttime for crochet which I find very relaxing and cathartic.

Thank you so much for topping by to read this post and for your continued support. Come back again soon for more news about books, reviews, and whatever else pops into my already overcrowded head.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Those hats are fantastic! I’ve tried buying various hats like that but they are all too small and too tight – make me look like a conehead! I knit myself one 50 years ago – still have it and will wear it if it’s really cold – more like a beret.

  2. The wee critters are AH-dorable and I would see to it that ALL the grands received one… xx

  3. Wow! Your hands stay busy. Love all of these, but especially the little animals.
