JEMSBOOKS.COM – Author – Janice Spina aka J.E. Spina Illustrations & Covers by John Spina

This newsletter is a way to let you know what is new to JemsBooks each year.

It was a busy and productive year with plenty of writing, reading, reviewing, and blogging.

Each month I read between 5-10 books and review them on my blog to help spread word of fellow authors’ books. This is one way to do that. I hope you will also review books to help authors. Please check out these reviews on my blog/website – Jemsbooks.com/Jemsbooks. Blog.

Each year I give myself a goal to reach. In 2024 I hoped to publish 3-4 books along with everything else that I had to do. I also copyedited other authors’ books during the year. I did meet my goal of publishing three books this year.

Here is what transpired.

In January my novel, Hunting Mariah, received an award from Maincrest Media Awards for thriller/mystery.

In February my children’s book, Drystan the Dragon and Friends Book 3: Delbert Finds Himself, won a Silver Medal from Mom’s Choice Awards.

Also, in February my children’s book, Drystan the Dragon and Friends Book 6: Dragana Helps a Fairy, won a Silver Medal from Mom’s Choice Awards.

In May I published Book 3 of Gateskin Chronicles: Search for the Medallion a fantasy/adventures series that will have six books in all. More books coming in 2025 and beyond.

In September The Legend of the Taken Ones: Gateskin Chronicles Book 1, The Unknown Territory: Gateskin Chronicles Book 2, and Search for the Medallion: Gateskin Chronicles Book 3 all received GOLD MEDALS from MOM’S CHOICE AWARDS!

In November I published Book 4 of Branyrd the Angel Series – Mission of Hope, a fantasy/spiritual/uplifting series about an Angel and her missions to help needy people on Earth.

A children’s book is in the works that my husband is illustrating. Watch for it in 2025.

I have a couple more series in the wings, one for YA and the other for 18+. There is always something brewing at Jemsbooks.

Thank you so much for your support. Keep reading and I will keep writing!

Reading Gives You Wings to Fly! Soar with Jemsbooks.com all year through!

  1. I don’t know how you do it, Janice. I published two books last year and it nearly did me in. You are a powerhouse!

Thank you, Jan, for the kind words. I am definitely slowing down as I age. I used to be a powerhouse compared to now. But we all get older and have to know our limits. I am still learning that I can’t do what I did ten years ago or less but I keep trying! 🤣 ❤️
