The day after Thanksgiving we put our Christmas decorations up. I vowed to not do it all in one day – but I didn’t keep that vow and completed the task (it is a task at my age) and thereafter was exhausted!! I can’t believe I did that! I need a couple of days to recuperate! Sigh!
As I age, I have more aches and pains and move slower. I can still do about everything minus cartwheels and splits! That would be a sight to see me trying to get up from one of them. Ugh! Well enough about my age!
Here are some of the photos of our decorations. I hope you will enjoy these and that they put you into the spirit of Christmas. I wish we had this spirit every day! Branyrd agrees with me.

Please notice the two slender candles on the right and center. These belonged to my mother and mean a lot to me to put them on display every year since she died in 2004. I feel as if I have her with us. She also made the ceramic tree that is in the first set of photos in the middle of the carolers. She actually made two for me but I broke the first one and she promptly made me the second. I treasure that one since she cannot make me another. She did warn me after I broke the first one that I better not break the second for she would not make another. I guess she was right. She isn’t here to make a third, so I had better be very careful with it! Thanks, Mom!
Do you have some decorations that have been passed down to you? Please share.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you are feeling the spirit of Christmas in you now. I pray that you are safe, warm in your home, loved and have plenty to eat. May God Bless you and keep you strong. Please remember what Christmas is all about and spread kindness, love and cheer to every corner that is dark.

You always do a fabulous job of decorating your home. I have a Santa on the shelf that my daughter made for me when she was a little girl. I treasure it.
Thank you so much, Darlene. The Santa must be so special since it was made by your daughter. 🥰
Looks lovely!
Thanks so much, Annette! 🥰
Wow, you do always such a great job with putting up the Christmas decorations. Looks great. I am waiting, that Tina is coming to put up our Christmas tree. I still can’t do much after I broke my pelvis. My balance is out somewhere, trying to get it back, I have to be so careful, not to fall again.
Merry Christmas from down under
Thank you so much, Gigi! Hope you feel better soon. Take care and don’t fall. Good luck with the decorating! 🥰
Thank you
Wow, Christmas has come to your house! We have not decorated yet except for the wreaths outside because I’ve been busy sending out our cards and wrapping all the presents that need to be mail (a mammoth task with my son in Utah). This week for sure!
Keep plugging away. It’s not easy keeping up with all this stuff! I am wrapping tomorrow because our first party is this coming weekend for John’s family! So much yet to do! 🤪
Decorating this week and then more present wrapping next week is cookie time!
We have two family gatherings, one for this weekend and then on Christmas Eve. I have to do everything twice for both parties. Cookies will be baked this week and then just before Christmas Eve along with a pie and dips and cheese ball. I’m tired already! 🤪❤️🎄🎅⛪️☃️❄️
Relax, you’ve got a lot of the work done already. I got about half decorated today – will send pics when I am finished. tomorrow is package mailing – massive – and poinettia purchasing. .
Good luck getting it all done! I’ll do my best too! ❤️
