Word Art – Ricky the Rambunctious Raccoon

This is a part of a post I wrote back in 2017 for my book, Ricky the Rambunctious Raccoon. I hope you enjoy this limerick and all the others I will be reposting soon.

This is the perfect time to choose your children’s summer reading. Each of my children’s books carries life lessons that help instill good behavior in children. Happy Reading! Did you know that reading is good for your health?

After reading a limerick on a friend’s website I decided to try my hand at limericks for each of my children’s books. I hope you enjoy them each day.

Read Louey the Lazy Elephant’s limerick here.

Second post features my second published (2013) book, Ricky the Rambunctious Raccoon.

LIMERICK

RICKY THE RAMBUNCTIOUS RACCOON

There once was a raccoon named Ricky,

Who foraged without his mother too quickly.

He ran into a skunk

Into a lake he did dunk

Now Ricky’s feeling a little bit sickly!

Available also on Barnes & Noble and other onlines stores.

BLURB:

Ricky is a rambunctious or very active raccoon who likes to wander around to find something new to eat. One night during his foraging for food Ricky runs into all kinds of trouble. Will Ricky get home safely? Will he learn his lesson to listen to his mother?

All Jemsbooks’ children’s book have life lessons within the stories. Children will learn that it is important to always listen to one’s mother and when you are young never venture out alone.

Jemsbooks instill good behavior in young children by repetition and rhyming. Children will have fun reading while they learn how to behave politely and with respect to others.

Check out the lovely reviews on Amazon:

I wrote this story because I know how children love all kinds of animals. I wanted them to feel comfortable and incorporated some humor into this rhyming story to keep them engaged. My husband’s beautiful illustrations really brought the story to life. Kids will love this story and request this story at bedtime again and again.

Watch for more limericks of my other children’s books. I hope you will introduce your children to Jemsbooks children’s books today to get them reading and loving every minute of it. If children enjoy books like these they will be encouraged to put down the Xbox, video games and other media that is mindless and doesn’t help increase their reading levels, spark their creativity, add to their vocabulary and promote good health and wellbeing.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. Come back again soon.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
