Showcasing – Lamby the Lonely Lamb – a Children’s Book!

This is the fourth children’s book I published, Lamby the Lonely Lamb. This book was written and dedicated to my granddaughter when she was three years old. She had a stuffed lamb that she carried everywhere with her and slept with it too. She is now ten years old and a beautiful young lady.

My granddaughter was thrilled to have her own book about a lamb and showed it off at school proudly. It was a fun story to write which was challenging since my granddaughter said she wanted a story about a purple lamb. With a little creative license I came up with this story. I hope you and your children will enjoy it as much as my Leah did.

MOM’S CHOICE AWARDS – SILVER MEDAL!

Lamby is a very different lamb because of his color. He is lonely and only wants to be accepted by the other lambs. Find out what lesson Lamby learns when a little girl, Leah, comes to the farm where Lamby lives.

I remember the first time that I purchased the lamb for her on a trip to the mall with my daughter. I spotted the adorable lamb and showed it to my granddaughter. She grabbed it out of my hands and wouldn’t let it go. She loved it since then so much that my daughter purchased another one just like it in case the first one was lost. The funny thing about that was that my granddaughter knew which one was the original one. She named the second one too and kept it close but not as close as the first lamb.

With all of my children’s books there are valuable life lessons that children will learn. I think it is important that children learn these lessons that will carry them throughout life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Cute Story Teaching A Lesson In Adapting

Lamby The Lonely Lamb is a cute story teaching a lesson in adapting, but not conforming to what the norm is. In other words, just because you are different (in this case a different color) doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t fit in: beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In this case it was, a little girl dressed in purple from head to toe, exactly the same color of the little lamb, who was different than all the other lambs, which were white. It also teaches a lesson in tolerance for those who are different than the so-called norm. Janice Spina, the author hits just the right note in teaching a valuable lesson in acceptance in a world where being different doesn’t matter after all. The illustrations were adorable and well done
