I just finish purchasing my gifts for the little ones on my list and of course they are also getting some of my books! Now if only the parents would write reviews! I wrote this Mystery/Thriller/Suspense/Crime two-book series after hearing about rape on a college campus. At the time I had a son who was graduating and a daughter who would enter college soon. Of course, I was horrified to hear of this and warned my daughter to never go alone anywhere especially at night. Thank God she was safe all through her four years there.
This feeling of dread did not leave me and a story began to evolve in my dreams that I felt compelled to write down. Here is the story that I wrote in 2014 with a sequel in 2018 after some prompting from readers to know more about this character.

There will be twists and turns and some surprises. Many of the same characters will be in play to give support and encouragement to Mariah along the way.
A new man comes into Mariah’s life that reminds her of someone she wants to forget. He threatens to bring back the horrors that she and her family once endured. While the one she wants to forget suffers from a horrendous attack that puts his life in jeopardy.
Mariah must draw on her strength and resilience to survive danger at every turn. How much more can Mariah endure? How far will Mariah go to protect her family?

This series took a lot out of me when I wrote it. I think you will understand why after reading both books. They are gripping, intense, and unforgettable. I hope you will enjoy them but don’t expect me to write any more of this type of thriller. Sigh! I may write a few more books involving the main character, Mariah, in her own short series. It is on the back burn, way back.
