I have been keeping a watch over the fall color in our backyard. So far there isn’t much to report but I think it is because of all the rain and crazy weather we had that weakened the trees so that they could not put on their fall colors as in previous years.
Her is what I have snapped so far and will share in a collage of past years and the difference that is quite noticeable.

Here are the fall colors in the past years that I shared. Compare the above photo with red in the tree to the red in the photo below. That is the same kind of tree last year but this year it didn’t show its colors like this before losing its leaves. Sigh!

Of course some of these photos were further along in the changes but this year we aren’t going to make it by the same timeline.
If I notice any spectacular color in the next week or so, I will definitely share them. Further up north the color has already reached its peak and now declining. We are a little behind the mountain region for colorful displays.
I hope you enjoyed my photos and will come back again for updates on any more color worthy to share. Whether the color is as beautiful as previously I love to see the changing season and enjoy every minute of it. Of course, the fall is a perfect time to enjoy a good book. Check out all my books and the books that I read and review monthly here on my blog for plenty of excellent choices to keep you busy.

The colour change has been late here too – in Muskoka. It was hot until last week..
A little disappointed. 😔 Thanks for stopping by, Sara! 🥰
