Chapter Books for young children Ages 5-8!

Young children love reading chapter books that make them feel as if they are more grownup. This confidence increases their reading level which encourages them to read some more. This series for children does this and also provides information that will add to their children’s education about different animals and other things. Important life lessons and valuable family values will be reinforced throughout the series for your children that will make every parent/guardian pleased with this series.

If your children have not discovered this fun series of animal and other stories yet then now is the time to let them begin the discovery that will help to make them book lovers.

MOM’S CHOICE AWARD WINNER – SILVER MEDAL!

This is a short story collection for children ages 5-8. They are perfect for bedtime or any time. They can be read by early readers or by a parent/guardian. They will provide a fun reading time for both the reader and the listener.

There are six stories with a colorful illustration of the characters of each story – one about an alien, a dragon, a fairy, a bear, a bear and a boy and a skunk. Each story will have life lessons for children to learn.

Each book will have six more stories that will captivate children and make them want to read them again and again. I have added some interesting things about some of the characters and backgrounds of the animals and things in the stories for children to learn.

I love creating stories for children; their minds are like sponges and they learn quickly and retain most of what they read.

I wanted to create something different for young children than what I have already written so far. These stories are perfect for bedtime or anytime. They are easily read by early readers and along with parents for some snuggling time that will bring parents/guardians and children closer. It is known that parents who read to their children at an early age and daily, encourage their children to read on their own when they get older. Also, children do what they see their parents do. If parents read a lot on their own then children will learn to read on their own too.

I know how busy parents are in their daily lives. I am a parent too and had to work with two young children but somehow found time to read to my children wherever I could fit in a few moments. My son was an early reader and used to read cereal boxes when I took him grocery shopping. People would stop and listen to him at two reading the boxes and calling out to me to buy one or the other. I used to take the time then to reinforce the letters on everything in the store. He learned his alphabet early and could read by the time he was in kindergarten. He is a bright young man.

My daughter learned early also how to recognize letters and numbers too and knew how to read the alphabet and print her name by kindergarten. She announced to anyone who would listen that she could do everything by herself because she was a big girl. So precious! She is a bright woman now and a teacher of grade five children. I am so proud of both my grown kids. They now have children of their own and doing everything they can as wonderful parents. I hope I was a good influence on them.

We spent time at the library every Saturday when I was working to pick out a few books to read together. Once I was home with them we read even more together and separate. I always have my head in a book to this day. If you are a follower of my blogs you know this to be true since I read 7-10 books a month and review them here. I can’t get enough reading in each day and always find time to write too. Of course, now that I am retired that helps.

There is so much stimulation for children nowadays on TV and online that they are inundated with everything. It’s important to guide your children away from the violence and unnecessary and unsavory influence online. Being a parent is not an easy job but it can be so rewarding. That is why books are more important than all the game packages and technology that are out there.

Books will never go out of style but some of this technology will. Best of luck to all the hard-working parents who struggle to provide for their families and do what they think is the right thing to do. I commend you all. I know how difficult it is.

Here are some reviews from Amazon to help you decide if you this series is for your children.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your kind and continued support of me and my books. Happy reading!
