I apologize for not posting anything recently but I have been busy not only with my WIP but also with some household things like putting together two cabinets with my husband’s muscles and expertise. I am not good at these kinds of things, putting together furniture. My expertise lays elsewhere like cleaning and giving orders to someone else how to do things!
Of course each of these cabinets, one from Wayfair (it’s just what I need) and the other from Amazon (everything I need), say that it will only take two hours with two people working on them. The picture showed two strapping figures in the peak of health doing this. Well, this old couple took three times that long to complete each project. Yikes! I hate to admit that but it’s true! Ha!
If I could have done a video of the two of us on our sore knees, bending over with aching backs, lifting, tools flying back and forth screwing in screws, dropping screws and trying to find them, and then standing back to look at our progress to realize that we did something wrong!!!! It got quite tiring putting things together to have to take them apart to fix what we forgot to do. What do you expect? The furniture came from another country. Maybe they didn’t understand how to explain things for old people. Well, I have to use some excuse for our ineptitude. Not my husband’s though, mostly mine! He is a gem and a wizard for doing everything around the house. I am hopeless and helpless at doing this sort of job. Sigh!
Here are the completed cabinets. I think they look quite good, don’t you? The one on the right is for our basement to hold all my yarn and sewing supplies. The one on the left is for the kitchen. We have entirely too many gadgets, so my husband keeps telling me. What can I say? I love gadgets! They make my life easier but do take up space!

Well, I guess now that I confessed and have an excuse for not posting sooner, I better get to work on my WIP. I hope to have it completed soon and pass it on to my lovely beta readers. If you are interested in being a beta reader for me, please contact me with your references and experience in that area. I am looking for one more, someone who has a good command of the English language, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure. I provide a PDF of my book for the beta reader to view and then return with results. At publication I will include beta readers names in my acknowledgements and send them a finished autographed paperback copy of the book as a ‘thank you.’
Watch for my next book in Branyrd the Angel Series Book 3 coming in October 2023. If you read this series please read them in order to experience what Branyrd does and how she changes. The series will make better sense if you have a feel for this special and unique character. You will fall in love with her and her Guardian Angel, Benedicto. This series offers stories dealing with serious subjects but at the same time is interspersed with humor to light things and deals with good against evil. Don’t we all need a little help in our daily lives from above. Angel comes to the rescue when she is called forth to aid those in need.
This is not a children’s book. Branyrd is a different kind of angel. She has a difficult time being understood because of her habit of getting into all kinds of trouble and for her unacceptable language. Angels are not supposed to swear.
This angel must earn levels to be accepted by the LORD. She is presently at Angel Fourth Class and must ascend to Angel First Class in order to be given a mission to travel to Earth to help a human in trouble.
Once she reaches Angel First Class, she is given a mission and travels to Earth to help a battered woman and her child. Since she is so new to the ways on Earth, Branyrd is accompanied by her Guardian Angel Benedicto, Angel First Class on High, who guides and advises her.
Branyrd doesn’t know what she will do or how she will complete this mission. She must show her strengths and succeed, or she may be demoted. What she finds on Earth is not what she expected. It certainly is nothing like Heaven. There are dangerous people but also those who she will miss dearly when she must leave.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. I couldn’t do all this without your help in reading and reviewing my books. Reviews are welcome and needed for all my books.
Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
