Do you ever feel lazy?

Today is that lazy kind of late summer day for me. I know I should be working on my WIP but I have been at it a few hours every day lately. I think I need a break. Well, here I am sitting out on my back deck enjoying the comfortable weather with almost clear skies and gazing at my Dipladenia plant, that is gorgeous, and the swaying reeds in the pond that is already turning shades of brown. It feels so good to be lazy once in a while. Doesn’t it?

Here’s my view from my lounge chair with a foot rest.

I am hooked on taking sky pictures because they are always different, I may use this one above for the WIP. Are you having a lazy kind of day today too? I hope you are enjoying your day no matter where you are or what kind of day it is. I certainly am and don’t do it enough! The wind has picked up a little but it sounds so peaceful as it blows through the trees, ruffles the leaves that almost look like they are sparkling in the sun and waving back to me. I can hear the faint sounds of birds in the distance. For some reason there are no birds at our feeders. This makes me suspect that a hawk or a fox are nearby. The birds always know this and hide out in the trees. It is suddenly so quiet I can hear crickets deep inside the pond and woods. Am I the only one around?

Ahh! Life can be good sometimes. Enjoy the good times while you can, take a deep breath and let it out slowly to let all the stress and strain you may be feeling of just everyday situations. You will feel so much better, I do!

I don’t know if you can see the leaves blowing here in the photo below but they are. Before long all these trees will start to burst out in a colorful kaleidoscope of brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges that will delight your eyes and restore your soul. I love the fall or autumn as some call it. It is the most beautiful time in New England and brings with it the scents, sights and sounds of the upcoming holidays – Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. It all comes too fast and then goes just as quickly. Sigh! But the seasons do rush on as does life.

I hope this lazy kind of post puts you in a calm and peaceful mood too. Take care. Wishing you much love and peace in your life.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Come back again soon. You are always welcome.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

  1. I don’t think lazy is lazy… there’s an art to it.

We’ve had three glorious days of temps in the mid-80s with no humidity – made me want to go outside and lie in the grass. But there are chiggers!

  3. Hi Janice, this sounds like a lovely relaxing day 😊

  4. Do I ever feel lazy? Only every day! 😀
