Adorable Spiny Puffer Burrfish – Raymond Burrfish!

I have been enjoying watching our new spiny puffer burrfish – Raymond Burrfish! He is quite entertaining! I think he knows me now and follows me around as I passed by his tank many times a day to say ‘hello.’

Here are some of the many photos I have captured of him. He is quite cute in a spiny sort of way! He has captured my heart!

Ray comes right up to the glass and looks at me as you can see in these photos. I think he wants me to feed him since I keep stopping by. He is ravenously hungry now that he has fully acclimated to his new home. At first he didn’t eat very much and most of the food was taken away from him by the aggressive Trigger fish. He is such a bully! There is one in every tank!

But now Ray is coming into his own and taking food away from Trigger! What a fun sight to see! Hurray! Someone has to put Trigger in his place and it has taken this little Burrfish no time to do it! Good for Raymond! He could be the new leader of the tank!

Even Foxface above looks more comfortable. He usually hides when I come by to visit. In this photo above he is right next to Ray, not shy, and feeling right at home with me looking at him.

It is quite a colorful tank, full of active, vibrant and happy fish. The only two that are missing are the gobies. We have nots seen them since we dropped them in. Here are some photos of them. I think Trigger might have gotten hungry and made a snack of them.

These little critters were supposed to clean up the bottom of the tank but I think someone cleaned them out instead. Sigh! I’ll let you know if they ever surface again.

I hope you enjoyed our fish and come back for more sagas of the tank.Thank you for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Thank you, Darlene! I looked up the link you gave me about Raymond Burr. Interesting! I think the name fits him. He is sweet but strong and resilient and doesn’t back down when Trigger tries to bully him! 🤣
