Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers!

I love sharing my flowers on the deck and in and around our yard. The Rose of Sharon bushes are doing beautifully! They were late starting because of all the rain we had in June and July but now they are showing off their blossoms in grand style. The flowers are in white and shades of pink, violet and brighter pink. Our neighbors rave about them and enjoy them during August until the last blossom falls from the bushes.

The colors vary from bush to bush while some bushes have only one color, other bushes have two or three colors. It’s amazing and such a joy to look at. I took these photos from our deck hanging over a little without falling!

The other flowers below are from the deck – petunias, and Dipladenia, and the last three are of a hibiscus plant that is over 11 years old. Looks pretty good for an old plant, better than me!

Summer is going, going and soon will be gone but certainly not forgotten or appreciated when the weather turns cold. I do love the summer but my favorite is still fall with spring second.

I hope you enjoyed gazing at my flowers as much as I do. It was a lovely day today, comfortable and not hot or cool. It was a perfect day to eat out on the deck.

Here we are enjoying the lovely weather tonight with a glass of wine – my favorite, Silk & Spice, a product of Portugal! It you haven’t tried it, you must if you love red wine! It is delicious!

Oops, I just noticed I didn’t have my makeup on! Sorry about that! After a little wine, I don’t mind or even think about it! Haha!

A pretty emerald hummingbird came to visit while we sat here. They don’t usually go on the wires here but directly to the feeders. It was a surprise to see it sitting there with us so close. I am enjoying them until they leave soon. I zoomed in on this little guy because you wouldn’t be able to see him unless I did. He is quite small.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. Come back again soon for more posts about anything that pops into my overcrowded mind!

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Thank you, Jan! I am always doing selfies with him, much to his chagrin. Haha! Enjoying the nicer weather with a glass of wine with my best guy! ❤️

  4. Beautiful pictures of your garden. We don’t have much in the moment, so it’s lovely to see yours. Thank you for sharing them. But we are coming into spring, and it will start soon.
