We recently had a couple of mishaps on our back deck from a mischievous and probably hungry raccoon and it wasn’t Ricky! Haha! Check out Ricky today for your kids to enjoy. They will have many chuckles as they watch Ricky in action. He is a lot nicer than the one that visited us recently.
I think all my readers know and love Ricky the Rambunctious Raccoon. We were not as lucky to have a raccoon like Ricky pay us a recent visit. I showcased a cover to Ricky’s book since I did not have a photo of the naughty raccoon in action.
These are photos of the damage it caused. The first one is of a cap to our porch railing that my husband did manage to fix. The second photo is of our completely demolished birdbath. We heard a horrific crash in the middle of the night when the raccoon did this. We didn’t see the animal but figured it was the same one that has been paying us a visit before leaving his paw prints on the stairs and railings. He was evidently trying to reach the bird feeders but was, thank goodness, unsuccessful. The crash must have frightened him half to death too. But he did come back and damage the light cap a couple of days later in a second attempt to eat. We have since replaced the damaged birdbath with a metal one, see photo below.

I hope he doesn’t come back and manage to cause more destruction of our property. Sigh!
Well, I’m glad I didn’t write about Ricky after I did this. He wouldn’t have been so sweet.
Thanks for stopping by to read this post. Come back again for whatever my mind conjures up for a post. You never know what I am going to come up with next. Also, watch for a new book coming in June and more books to come after that.

Oh, those pesky raccoons! My sister is forever having to tick them off, especially when they are squabbling on our roof disrupting everyone’s slumber.
Yes, they are really pests! hugs x
