The past week has seen plenty of rainy weather and cooler temps than should be here in June. This didn’t stop my husband from planting more flowers in our circle which he said he was not going to do. Sigh! It will look a lot better when the flowers spread out. He works so hard to make everything look beautiful! Thank you, honey!
John is planting marigolds in the circle. The rose bush is doing beautifully and actually spreading out and forming new bushes. I never saw that before! I am thrilled! Last fall we planted two little maple trees in the center of the circle from sprouts that we found elsewhere. They have taken root and are growing! Hurray! I look forward to seeing them grow up into one beautiful tree!
What have you planted this spring?

The dianthus above is in another spot in our front berm but I had to snap it since it is doing so well there.
It will be a while yet before I can share the gorgeous Rose of Sharon plants all 17 of them. They come out in August but are well worth the wait!
We are tired of all this wet and cold weather but the flowers seem to love it and are doing well. Soon it will be dry and they will need to be watered by us. Nature is doing the job and giving us a break until then.
I love watching everything grow but don’t do the planting I used to do. God bless my husband, he still does as much as he can even if he is getting up there in age. He is amazing! Of course, I am usually busy watching him, taking photos and, of course, writing new stories to share with you.
Keep watch for more posts about what’s going on with our flowers, vegetables and whatever else I can pull out of my overcrowded brain.
Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Come back again soon! You are always welcome. I appreciate your kind support and any reviews you may post wherever you purchase my books.

The filled circle might make a great photo for a book cover one day…
You are right, Annette! A never thought of that. Hugs xx
Send us some of that rain and cooler air! It’s in the 90s and hot here!
I wish I could, Noelle! It is still in the 60’s with occasional rain. Weather will get back in a day or so into the 70’s. Hugs x
