Crocheting, Crocheting and Crocheting some more Christmas presents! More WIP too!

With Christmas around the corner I have been busy crocheting some presents. Time is flying by since we returned from Aruba and I’m trying to make up for that time now finishing my projects.

Here are some I have completed so far with a few more to go.

Sigh! I love to crochet at night while I watch TV, especially since there isn’t always something good to watch. If I am not crocheting I am writing on my blog. I can’t just sit and do nothing!

These projects were made with a blanket yarn that is soft, warm and sturdy. I have made so many afghans, lapghans and pillows that I’ve lost count! Anyone who has seen them wants one. Yikes! The yarn ranges from $11.99 down to sales at $7.49. I sometimes get lucky and snag the lower prices but as soon as I do they begin to go up again! I buy in quantities and they see me coming!!!

On occasion I have offered a few to my readers but no takers yet. That was when I had extras. Now I don’t have any to offer. Sorry!

What are doing for projects for the holidays?

Of course I am avidly working on my new Children’s book, book 2 of Bedtime Stories for Children, with six stories illustrated by my husband John. I hope to have it published in January 2023.

The other WIP is Book 2 of Branyrd the Angel Series. This book may be published in February 2023, fingers crossed! The epic fantasy series, Gateskin Chronicles, will be completed later in 2023. No definite timeline yet is known. Stay tuned for more info.

Of course I have another project on the back burner but not sure if I want to make it a children’s book or an adult one. That is the fun part about writing, I never know what will pop into my head next!

I also have some sewing projects sitting by my machine waiting for me to pick them up and begin. So little time to do it all! Phew!

Well, I hope you are doing well with all your projects and shopping for Christmas. It can be daunting at times. Best of luck and have a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post! Come back again soon. Thank you also for your support of my work.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

  1. You remind me of my sister who is also a yarn girl! She is working on an afghan right now for a friend who just got a new couch. Oh, and a baby afghan for a gal-pal who is due early in the early Spring.

I don’t crochet but I knit when I’m watching TV, mainly baby blankets.
