Warmer Weather came and went again! Everything is Greening up though!

We had a short spurt of 90 degree weather for a few days then cooler temps rushed in to freeze our toes once again. I walk around with a sweater handy just in case. But this is New England for you! Just wait a minute and the temperature either drops or rises suddenly. Sigh!

I may complain about our weather but there isn’t anywhere else I would rather live. Love this area for its beauty and crazy weather. But when it is warm and sunny it is beautiful without the rain or humidity. After all, there is always something to complain about.

Here are some photos I snapped of the beauty around us in late spring.

Beautiful spring day
Rhododendrons blooming
Mint plant is thriving.

Garden snake

When I went outside to snap some photos of my flowering plants I spotted this garden snake at the bottom of our front stairs. It made me jump back in alarm. I could have stepped on it. Yikes!

Dianthus
Rhododendron front yard
Geraniums
Hibiscus

Our hibiscus will soon be flowering on the deck. Multiple buds are already showing up. I will definitely share some photos of them. They are glorious!

Also, in another month or so buds will be forming on the 16 Rose of Sharon bushes that are all around our yard. They are truly beautiful and breathtaking. Photos will be shared when they blossom.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. Please come back again. You are always welcome. Your kind support is appreciated.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

  1. It’s lovely here in Michigan as well. All our trees, flowers, etc. are having a field day.

Wonderful! Michigan is beautiful! I lived there for 9 months many, many years ago! But only saw the winter weather which was fierce! 💕

  2. HI Janice, how lovely everything is in spring. We are just going into winter [which I hate].

Your garden looks amazing! Weather can be funny everywhere it seems.

Wonderful garden. We had the same thing here – 90s and then 60s.

Same here. We hit upper 90s last week, then it dropped back down into the 40s. Just crazy! I have a hibiscus that is struggling. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but the buds are falling off before they can open up.

Something is happening in the upper atmosphere to cause these ups and downs in temps. Sigh! I can’t wait until it evens out again. Into the 80’s at least. I don’t like it too hot and humid. Hugs xx

It was brutally hot last weekend. We held off buying plants until this weekend because New England weather can be unpredictable. The perennials are thriving this year. Annuals get planted tomorrow. Your flowers are lovely, Janice.
