Silver Medal – Mom’s Choice Awards

Blurb:

This book is based on my dog, Lucy, who I had for 16 years. She was quite a character and did all the things that are in this book.

She loved my spaghetti with homemade sauce, watched TV shows featuring animals, hated baths, “sang” when music was played, and had two cherished possessions, a knotted rag and a ball.

I hope you will enjoy reading about Lucy. She is no longer with us and can never be replaced.

Lucy was a special dog who was my best friend for 16 years. I miss her still today. She passed many, many years ago but there isn’t a day that I don’t think about her. This is the main reason I wrote this book to keep her memory alive and share her with children everywhere. She was smart, funny, talented and loving. She followed me everywhere. If I didn’t let her come with me from room to room she would cry until I came back for her and picked her up for a cuddle. I have never known, since then, of the unconditional love of an animal like she had shown me. I did have other dogs and a cat but I never was as close or bonded with them as I did Lucy. She came into my life at a time when I really needed a friend. She was there for me through tough times and listened as I ranted, raved or cried. No one could have put up with me like that. Ha!

I hope that you will share this book with your children so that they can learn about the unconditional love of a pet and know that our pets need us as much as we need them. All pets deserve to be treated with kindness, love and patience always.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you will come back again real soon. Thank you for your kind support of me, my books and blog and for all the reviews you may have posted wherever my books are sold. Take care.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
